Karl Urban isn’t the only new Star Trek star who has nabbed an acting gig from a Trek producer this pilot season. Now news comes that John Cho has been cast in a guest role for Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman’s Sleepy Hollow Fox pilot. Bob and Alex have also sold a new sci-fi movie project to Universal. 2013 is a big year for Chris Pine with Star Trek Into Darkness in May and Jack Ryan in December. And heading these two franchises has earned Pine the Male Star of The Year award from the National Association of Theater Owners.

On Friday William Shatner’s voice will be heard in the animated feature Escape From Planet Earth. While doing publicity for the movie, Bill again weighed in on the new Star Trek, this time heaping praise on director JJ Abrams and the new Kirk, Chris Pine. More details (and video) below. In a new interview promoting his work on American Horror Story, Zach said something which could (if viewed in a certain way) be interpreted as possibly saying he might not return for a third Trek film, following Star Trek Into Darkness.
