Star Trek’s Anton Yelchin has recently said he doesn’t know anything about the Star Trek sequel, but in a new interview he does talk about how he is both excited and nervous to return to the role of Chekov and how he plans to again do research to prepare for the film. Simon Pegg Sugests Nick Frost As New Harry Mudd In Star Trek Sequel [UPDATED]

We already know that even though he has predictions for the Star Trek sequel, Simon Pegg has no spoilers. But that hasn’t stopped him from making a suggestion – specifically proposing his Paul co-star Nick Frost as a possible new Harry Mudd (not that he knows if Mudd is even in the movie). Simon Pegg Predicts Star Trek Sequel As “Character Piece” + Tonight Show Video

Star Trek’s Simon Pegg has wrapped up his US publicity tour for Paul and is headed to Vancouver to finish up shooting on Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Before departing he appeared on the Jay Leno show and we have that video, plus in another interview the actor talked about his hopes and expectations for the Star Trek sequel.



Chris Pine Wins LA Drama Award + Beltran To Star In New LA Play

Last summer, Star Trek’s new Captain Kirk, Chris Pine got rave reviews for his stage work in the dark satire "The Lieutenant of Inishmore". Last night Pine won an LA Drama Circle Award for the play, and he was joined at the event by his father (a fellow Trek vet) who also won an award. Plus Star Trek Voyager’s Robert Beltran opens a new play in LA in April. Details below  


Simon Pegg Talks Excitement & Secrecy For Star Trek 2012 + Confirms Set Aside August/September To Shoot

Simon Pegg, Star Trek’s new Scotty, has been on big promotional tour for his new sci-fi comedy Paul, opening this weekend in the USA. And along the way he has talked a bit more about the buzz on the Star Trek sequel. He has also confirmed when Paramount has asked him to set aside time to shoot it.

Last night Star Trek’s ‘Kirk Classic’ was in Ottawa to host the 31st Annual Genie Awards, Canada’s answer to The Oscars. Bruce Greenwood Cast In ABC Pilot “The River” + Trek Producers Have 5 Pilots In Production

It is pilot seasons in Hollywood, with actors all scrambling for roles. One Star Trek star who has nabbed a big one is Bruce Greenwood, aka Captain (now Admiral) Pike from Star Trek 2009 who has signed on to the ABC drama The River. He is the only star from the new movie lined up for the next TV season, but the Star Trek creative team have a few projects in the pipeline.
