Orci & Kurtzman Talk ‘Into Darkness’ & Next Star Trek In Official Mag + 4 New Images

The latest issue of the official Star Trek magazine has an interview with Star Trek Into Darkness co-writer/producers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. The pair talk about the villain John Harrison, the arc of the crew, how the film ties into today and even a bit about their next Star Trek movie. Excerpts below plus some scans of new Into Darkness images from the mag.  

Orci & Kurtzman Cast John Cho For Guest Spot In ‘Sleepy Hollow’ + Sell Sci-Fi Project To Universal

Karl Urban isn’t the only new Star Trek star who has nabbed an acting gig from a Trek producer this pilot season. Now news comes that John Cho has been cast in a guest role for Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman’s Sleepy Hollow Fox pilot. Bob and Alex have also sold a new sci-fi movie project to Universal. Kurtzman and Pine: Star Trek Sequel Crew Still On Journey To TOS Crew + Cumberbatch’s Villain Helps Kirk ‘Grow’

In the last day as part of their People Like Us publicity tour, both director Alex Kurtzman and star Chris Pine have ended up discussing the Star Trek sequel and specifically the arc of Kirk and the crew of the USS Enterprise, with both noting that the end of the 2009 movie was not the end of their journey to becoming like the crew of the original series. Pine also talked about Benedict Cumberbatch and how his villain brings out the best qualities in Kirk’s journey.

Orci: Team Talking About Potential Star Trek TV Show + Rules Out Some Sequel Characters + more

Star Trek sequel co-writer/producer was a call-in guest on a Southern California radio show over the weekend. He didn’t give away any big spoilers for the Star Trek movie, but he did rule out the appearance of a number of classic Star Trek characters. And perhaps more intriguingly, Orci discussed in detail some of the discussions that have been going on regarding bringing Star Trek back to TV.

Orci Talks Star Trek Sequel Script “Polish” + Reveals Bit On Time Passed Between Films

Earlier this week we reported how Star Trek’s new Spock (Zachary Quinto) had made a comment about how the script for the Star Trek sequel currently in production is still going through changes.
