One again Apple’s new iPad has crossed paths with Star Trek, this time revealing a tidbit about the upcoming sequel. In August it was reported that Star Trek scribe Alex Kurtzman will be making his feature directorial debut with a Steven Spielberg produced family drama Welcome to People, and now there is a hint that they are interested in bringing in Star Trek’s Chris Pine to star in the film. Tonight The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films held their 36th Annual Saturn Awards. The 2009 Star Trek movie went into the night with 6 nominations, but it was Avatar that dominated, picking up ten awards. Star Trek picked up one Saturn, as did including Leonard Nimoy (for Fringe).
