Costumed Trekkies to Attempt New World Record at the Official Las Vegas Con this August

Thousands of Star Trek fans will be convening in Las Vegas in August again, to listen to celebrity panels, bid on memorabilia, attend planetary science discussions, stand in lines for autographs and photo ops, and debate the merits of the latest Star Trek motion picture. And again this year, they will attempt to break a Guinness World Record for most people dressed in Star Trek costumes at one location. Watch: Starfleet Logo Flies Above London For Earth Hour [UPDATED]

Tonight in London Paramount partnered up with the WWF to participate in their "Earth Hour" event with a special Star Trek Into Darkness lightshow featuring the Starfleet Logo  hovering and rotating in the London night sky. Last night Star Trek: The Next Generation stars Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, Michael Dorn, Marina Sirtis and Gates McFadden reunited on stage at Toronto Comic-Con. Shatner’s ‘Get A Life!’ Doc Premiering at Comic Con + on EPIX Channel July 28

The EPIX Chanel is sending Bill to San Diego Comic-con for a panel on his new Trek fan documentary "Get a Life!" which will also be screened for the first time. CONFIRMED: Star Trek Sequel Panel ‘Unlikely’ For Comic-Con 2012

E3 Star Trek Game Demo Impressions + New Demo & Booth Video

At the big E3 gaming show in LA this week, Paramount and Namco Bandai are showcasing the upcoming Star Trek coop game, set in the new movie universe. There are long lines to get in to see a demo, but we here at TrekMovie can now share some of that demo footage, plus a new look at a Gorn from the game, shots of the E3 both, and my impressions of the demo.
