Leonard Nimoy has recently spoke about his retirement from acting, but it appears he did find time to fit in some voice work for a Transformers video game. Nimoy, who also recently provided voice work for Star Trek Online, will be featured in the upcoming Activision game "Transformers: War for Cybertron". UPDATE: Apparently this is a rumor and has been denied by Activision.

Zachary Quinto caused a bit of a tempest earlier in the week with his comments in one interview about taking a break from Star Trek. In some new interviews promoting Star Trek Online, the actor goes into more detail on his plans for the near future, and how he plans to return to Trek after doing some of his own projects. Star Trek Online has its official launch on Tuesday February 2nd, however the ‘head start’ for the game went live just minutes ago. When you first launch Star Trek Online you will be treated to an introduction to game narrated by Leonard Nimoy which explains some of the back-story and ties it into the 2009 Star Trek movie. One of the cool features of the new Star Trek Online MMORPG is the voice of Zachary Quinto (Spock in 2009’s Star Trek), who plays the role of an EMH who guides you through the STO tutorial when you first start in the game. However, in a new interview the actor says he is now going to take some time off from Star Trek.
The extended open beta for Star Trek Online ended Tuesday, but instead of just shutting it down, Cryptic made an event out of it.
