Star Trek Online Begins Closed Beta + TrekMovie Giving Away Keys

Cryptic Studio’s highly anticipated massive multiplayer game, Star Trek Online, is taking a big step towards its release today with the announcement that the game is now ready for the closed beta test. This is a big milestone that indicates the game is still on track for release in early 2010. VegasCon09: Friday – DS9 & Enterprise Panels + Spiner + TrekMovie Events + Remembering Majel + more

The Creation Entertainment official Star Trek Convention was back Friday with DS9 and Enterprise panels, Brent Spiner, Bob Picardo and Ethan Phillips performing, and a number of stars remembering Majel Barrett-Roddenberry. Stars talked about everything from the art of film, to the acting abilities of Spot the cat, to behind the scenes stories. TrekMovie Hosting ‘One Last Trek’ Star Trek Screening Friday @ VegasCon + TrekMovie on TrekCast

TrekMovie is gearing up for the big Star Trek convention which kicks off this Thursday in Las Vegas. Official Star Trek Vegas Convention Shaping Up To Be Huge – TrekMovie Will Be There

Today Airlock Alpha (formerly SyFyPortal) announced the nominees for their annual ‘Portal Awards’, covering all aspects of the world of genre entertainment. The new Star Trek movie received a number of nominations, as did other aspects of Star Trek (including TrekMovie.com itself). If you want to relive the Star Trek movie again and also get some more insights into the characters and events of the film, you can ‘listen’ to the movie via the audio book of the Alan Dean Foster adaptation. Report From Mexico City Star Trek Press Conference (w/ Pictures & Video) + JJ Talks Sequel
