Last month we reported that all five of Star Trek’s TV captains will gather for the first time ever at Destination Star Trek London in October. However, with the addition of Patrick Stewart to their line-up it turns out that Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con being held May 31 – June 3rd will get the honor of first collection of five Trek captains. This is a big weekend for "Niners." Yesterday Star Trek: Deep Space Nine was launched on Netflix streaming and today is the birthday of Avery Brooks. The man who led DS9 turns 63 so we here at TrekMovie want to wish The Sisko a big happy birthday.
As of today Netflix is streaming the entire library of televised Star Trek. Today Star Trek: Deep Space Nine was added to the streaming offering, joining the other previously released Star Trek live-action shows. And last week Netflix also added the animated Star Trek series.
The Fed Con Special "Captains Table" took place last weekend at the Maritim Hotel in Düsseldorf, Germany. Guests were Captain Sisko Avery Brooks, Captain Janeway Kate Mulgrew, Captain Picard Patrick Stewart with his son Daniel and Voyager’s Ensign Harry Kim Garrett Wang as master of ceremonies.
Last weekend’s Star Trek convention in Las Vegas included a very emotional moment from the normally serene Leonard Nimoy as hid bid farewell to the Vegas con for the last time. Terry Farrell left Star Trek Deep Space Nine after six seasons. The actress now says she doesn’t regret leaving, but wished she could have returned for the seventh season, but just not as a regular. More details below.

Ira Steven Behr left Star Trek: The Next Generation after one season only to return as executive producer and showrunner for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. William Campbell, who portrayed the god-like child Trelane and Klingon warrior Koloth on the original Star Trek, has passed away at the age of 84. TrekMovie has confirmed that Campbell died last night at the Motion Picture & Television County Home and Hospital in Woodland Hills, California following a long illness. Star Trek’s 3rd series Deep Space Nine was led by the very serious Captain Benjamin Sisko. Avery Brooks brought an intensity to his Sisko that fit the shows tone, but often involved raising his voice. Now a new video has compiled some great moments in Sisko yelling. Watch it below
