The first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation hits stores on Blu-ray next week. A new trailer for the set was shown at San Diego Comic Con and it is now available online. You can watch that below plus see an extended trailer for the theater screenings on Monday. CBS has also launched a new Facebook app which lets you put yourself into various Star Trek scenes. Finally the pre-order price has dropped to $59.99

Writer: Star Trek TNG S2 Blu-ray To Include Extended “Measure of a Man”

In one month the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation will arrive on Blu-ray. Season 2 is due in the Holiday season. And it appears that one of the cool bonuses for set being considered is an extended version of the courtroom drama episode "Measure of a Man." This news was revealed by the original writer of the episode, Melinda Snodgrass. Details below.

On July 23rd, just one day before the release of the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation on Blu-ray, theaters across the USA will be showing special screenings of two HD episodes of TNG along with bonus materials from the new set. Star Trek TNG HD Screenings Theater List Announced + Amazon Lowers Blu-ray Pre-Order Price

Last month we reported that there will be a special theater screenings of Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes in HD on July 23rd (promoting the release of the Season 1 Blu-ray on July 24th). We now have the list of theaters and more details on the event. Tickets go on sale on Friday June 8th (but StarTrek.com registered members can buy today). Star Trek: The Next Generation Promotional HD Screenings To Be Held In July

As previously reported the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation arrives on Blu-ray on July 24th. And in order to promote the release, CBS will be holding theatrical screenings across the USA in advance of the release. Calgary Bus Shelters and Transporter App Let You Beam Up

In two weeks The Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo will feature a Star Trek: The Next Generation reunion and to promote that event they have erected "Transporter Room" bus shelters around Calgary, Alberta, Canada. They have also released a special app that actually makes these transporter rooms really work (kind of). More details below.
