1987 Paramount Memo Reveals Actors Auditioning For Star Trek: TNG Cast

An old Paramount Memo, which was actually released a few years ago, has been getting a lot of play on the Internet in the last day. The Memo is about possible actors who were being brought in to audition for roles in Star Trek: The Next Generation, and it includes some interesting names for those who almost became the stars of the show.

The CBS Consumer Products presentation at the Star Trek con in Las Vegas mostly covered previously reported stuff, but there were a few new tidbits for Trek merchandise, like the USS Enterprise Pizza slicer. The Creation Star Trek Con started off on Thursday with TOS stars George Takei and Walter Koenig, both of whom talked about the latest Trek film and more. TNG’s John deLancie talked about the nature of Q, Janeway v Picard, and a possible Q appearance in the Star Trek sequel. There were also appearances by a number of TOS guest stars. The Collective: Star Trek Japanese Imports Coming – Dragon 12″ TNG Figures + TOS Bearbricks

This summer there are a few interesting Japanese imports coming that are of interest to Star Trek collectors. First up, Dragon Models have a line of Star Trek: The Next Generation 12" cloth figures coming this month. And in September, collectors can pick up MediCom Bearbrick figures that have been Trek-ified. More details below.

Last weekend a number of Trek celebrities attended Wizard World’s Philadelphia Comic Con, including Next Generation stars Patrick Stewart and Brent Spiner.
