Watch: Entire 5 Star Trek TV Captains Panel From Philadelphia Comic Con

A couple of weekends ago, all five Star Trek TV captains appeared together at a convention, at Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con. For the first time ever, William Shatner, Sir Patrick Stewart, Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew and Scott Bakula were on the same stage together. Watch the full thing (almost one hour) below.

Want Digital Version Of Star Trek: The Next Generation Pinball Machine? – Help The Kickstarter Campaign

Another way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation could be headed to your PC, console or mobile device, but this one needs your help. Game developer Farsight Studios is an expert in digitizing classic pinball machines and they want to bring the Star Trek: TNG table to your, but need to get financing to cover the licensing. So they have gone to Kickstarter. If you give them a hand with $10 or more, you can be the first with a copy of the game.


Star Trek & Shatner Nominated For TCA Awards + Wheaton & Shatner Win Audie Awards

There’s a few bits of Star Trek-related award news today. First up the original Star Trek series was nominated (again) for a Television Critics Association Award, as was William Shatner. And Bill won an award for his latest audio book, as did Wil Wheaton. And new Star Trek movie star Benedict Cumberbatch picked up another award nomination.



Star Trek TNG HD Screenings Theater List Announced + Amazon Lowers Blu-ray Pre-Order Price

Last month we reported that there will be a special theater screenings of Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes in HD on July 23rd (promoting the release of the Season 1 Blu-ray on July 24th). We now have the list of theaters and more details on the event. Tickets go on sale on Friday June 8th (but StarTrek.com registered members can buy today). Star Trek: The Next Generation Promotional HD Screenings To Be Held In July

As previously reported the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation arrives on Blu-ray on July 24th. And in order to promote the release, CBS will be holding theatrical screenings across the USA in advance of the release. Composer Joel Goldsmith Dead at 54

Joel Goldsmith, son of famed film composer Jerry Goldsmith and a talented composer in his own right, died of cancer at the age of 54. Joel was the eldest of six children by Jerry Goldsmith, and he reportedly began assisting his father with electronics in his scores as early as 1976 on the science fiction adventure Logan’s Run.
