Con Report: TNG, DS9 & VOY Trek Stars At FedCon XIX

In the beginning of May more than 5,000 fans met their genre stars at FedCon XIX, Europe’s biggest Star Trek and Sci Fi convention, in Bonn, Germany. Star Trek was represented well by Michael Dorn, Terry Farrell, Suzie Plakson, Chase Masterson, Martha Hackett and Manu Intiraymi. See below for a report from the event, including photos.

Happy Birthday, Jeri Ryan

Last week was Simon Pegg’s 40th birthday, and today another Trek alum can do him two better. Jeri Ryan, aka Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero-One aka Annika Hansen, of Star Trek Voyager, is turning 42 years young today. So TrekMovie wishes her a happy birthday, and catches up on what the former Borg babe is up to these days.

The latest project for Star Trek Voyagers’ captain Janeway is providing voice work for Bioware’s new fantasy role-playing video game "Dragon Age Origins". Rick Berman Talks 18 Years of Trek In Extensive Oral History

No one spent more time with the Star Trek franchise than Rick Berman, who was a producer from the pilot of Next Generation through to the finale of  Enterprise, overseeing the franchise for most of that time. In a (very) long 2006 interview now available online, Berman gives an oral history of his time on Trek and talks its rise, fall and rise again, as well as his legacy. The biggest fan run convention is DragonCon in Atlanta, and every Labor Day weekend they have an impressive dedicated ‘TrekTrak’. VegasCon09: Saturday – Guest Movie Actors + VOY Panel + Park & Takei

Saturday at the Creation Star Trek Convention was just jammed pack with Star Trek celebrities. The day included a number of guest actors from the Star Trek feature films, including Christopher LLoyd, as well as stars from all eras of Trek, with George Takei, Linda Park and a whole panel of Voyager stars. Trekkies Guide To San Diego Comic Con 2009

This weekend (kicking off with a preview tonight) is the annual San Diego Comic Con. Although there are no major Star Trek panels, Trek will still have a big presence at the show from the Paramount Home Entertainment Booth, to the other licensees (including some selling exclusives).
