This week in genre movie new we start of with some clarifications and rumor control on upcoming Forbidden Planet, Terminator and Wonder Woman movies. ST09 Trailer Countdown: Taking A Look At STV: The Final Frontier’s Trailer

A week from tonight millions of film goers across North America will be seeing the first theatrical trailer for JJ Abrams new Star Trek movie, and some might even stay for the new James Bond movie Quantum of Solace. To bide our time we continue our trailer countdown, today looking at the trailer for William Shatner’s 1989 film Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.

More Details Emerge For New Home Of Star Trek The Experience

Last month we reported that Star Trek The Experience (which closed its doors at the Las Vegas Hilton in September) may be resurrected at a new location. Since that time TrekMovie as well as local Las Vegas journalists have confirmed that Star Trek The Experience is moving to a new home at Neonopolis, in downtown Las Vegas.  Today some new details have emerged.

Trek Film Library Coming Coming to Blu-Ray in 2009?

Back in April Paramount Home Entertainment announced their first titles on the Blu-ray high definition format, but to date they have not announced any titles from their Star Trek library. However friend of the site and periodic contributor Bill Hunt of the Digital Bits is now reporting that ‘sources say’ Star Trek is headed for Blu-ray in 2009.

Countdown To New Trailer: Look Back To TMP Trailer

As first reported here on, on Friday November 14th the first theatrical trailer for JJ Abrams Star Trek hits theaters in front of the new James Bond film Quantum of Solace.
