Photo of the Day: Zachary Quinto Starts His ‘Margin Call’

Yesterday’s photo of the day was of a young Leonard Nimoy with his son and today’s features the new Spock, Zachary Quinto who shared a photo of an important moment in time to the actor, as he begins production on his first film as a producer.

Quinto awaits start of "Margin Call"

Earlier this year Zachary Quinto said he was taking a break from Star Trek to focus in 2010 on his other projects, primarily Margin Call, his first feature film as a producer. Quinto has been doing pre-production in New York for the last few months. Production started today and last night Quinto tweeted "i couldn’t sleep if i wanted to", and this morning he sent out the following tweet and photo.

@zacharyquinto: first coffee. first team. first shot. bettany. tucci. margin call begins.

Quinto also stars in Margin Call, alongside an impressive cast that includes Demi Moore, Paul Bettany, Stanley Tucci, Carla Gugino, and Kevin Spacey. The film tracks eight different people in New York during a 24-hour period during the recent financial crisis.

It’s really nice that Zach has chosen to share this experience (and photos!) with his fans. I wish him and his company all the best in this first endeavor.

And I can’t wait to see the movie!

He look understanably nervous – like Leonard Nimoy on Day 1 shooting of ST: III, I suppose. :-)

Zach is the king of non-sequiturs on Twitter. That’s one of his more coherent posts.

Hope the film works out for him!

Zach definitely has a unique posting style. He blogs the same way.

Good Luck ZQ for yours new projects!

Just like with Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps which is also about the global recession, Margin Call will be a very important movie. Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps is this year’s most important film simply because it’s the only movie being made about the global recession.

Can’t wait for this movie!! Sounds like a very pertinent film for today’s society.

Also Sunfell, you made first post!! Grats! See you on ZQC sometime!

good luck my love zach!! I can´t wait to see in yor new movie.

As Hollywood stands GUILTY of having reaped BILLIONS
catering to and covering for history’s –MOST– awesomely
genocidal regime ACROSS the Pacific —BOTH the 20th anniversary
of the Tiennemen Massacre AND the 60th anniversary of the
staggeringly important KOREAN WAR are -again- ‘mysteriously
overlooked’ —this year!

MEANWHILE, lots of time, money and talent, such as it is,
for routine, unneccessary slop —like this.

LOL
