Last week TrekMovie featured an article on the new Star Trek 2009 movie-themed parody webcomic "Ensign Sue Must Die". We like Ensign Sue so much here at TrekMovie that we decided to make it a regular feature, and so in partnership with Ensign Sue creators Clare Mosley and Kevin Bolk, we present the latest strip below.

Ensign Sue Must Die brought to you here at TrekMovie courtesy of strip creators Clare Mosley and Kevin Bolk. All of the Ensign Sue can also be seen at at Pot Luck Comics.
I wonder if she actually can make Spock angry.
Yes! It’s good to see a new Trek webcomic! I hope they put The Trek Life back up at the main site. I really liked that one.
Murder is against Regulations, I must say.
I decided against suggesting that ST.com pick it up and now look what happened.
I spent a good hour trying to build an HTML-scraping RSS feed for ESMD the other day before finally finding its update schedule and just adding it to my Tuesday and Saturday webcomic lists. At least on TrekMovie, it’s RSS-able.
i love it!!
This comic strip is hilarious! Great to have it on the site.
Wow…run Scotty, run.
I’ve read the comic strips last week, it was really funny! I’m glad that TrekMovie decided to make Ensign Sue Must Die a regular feature.
Awesome to see it here so it’s easy for me to track it down. And I’m totally saying this is in continuity to the JJ-verse just cause.
great…now I can remove the bookmark….
Kick ass. Thanks for making this a regular feature!
awesome!
I bookmarked Potluck comics to read the strips, but it’s good to see that I can read “Ensign Sue Must Die” on Trekmovie now. Thanks! :D
I loooooove Ensign Sue Must Die!! It makes fun of all the badly-written Star Trek fanfics that are overtaking the whole of DeviantART!! :D
This is fabulous. It’s on dA, too, so if anyone has an account there you should check it out. ;3
14. You sure hit the nail on the head with that one. deviantART is so overrun with crappy fanfics and extremely cliche OCs that it makes me sad just thinking about it.
#3–so is fraternizing with a subordinate and favoritism, yet SPock is guilty of both in the new film, and Pike is guilty of the second as well when he promotes Kirk to first officer…according to rank Bones shouldve been first officer… factoring in medical station the next in line wouldve been Sulu (Olsen having been killed and Scotty not yet having arrived) but JJ and crew glossed over all that…so why shouldnt he comic gloss over murder as a crime LOL after all in a way, making the crew wanna kill her is a parody of the above obvious plot flaws in the 2009 film LOL
I NOMINATE ENSIGN SUE MUST DIE AS A CANDIDATE FOR A NEW STAR TREK ANIMATED COMEDY SERIES!!!
*tack-on: ironically this parody comic, aside from the kill her angle, retains the real lighthearted spirit of TOS more than the film did too LOL
17 Oh brother.
Muahaha
16, that makes PERFECT sense! (I guess….)
Also, I just realized that maybe what Scotty meant was that she was going to be beamed to a planet they were orbiting — you know, for a refresher on 23d Century QM, that kind of thing — and that the ion storm would prevent her from coming back on board before they were conveniently called away to save the Zlotonians from the Yttrium Empire, or something like that. After all the Enterprise is nearly always the only ship within range on such occasions.
So, no murder implications are necessary, comic title notwithstanding.
Yup. That’s the ticket.
(Rationalization: It’s your friend.)
I don’t get it. Is Ensign Sue an ongoing comic??
#22: A particularly glorious one, yes :)
#14: Plus, those of us on dA have already enjoyed the _next_ one :)
This is one of the best trek paradies. Like reading “Nancy” comics. I’m surprised this was’nt done along time ago! Ensign Sue is priceless! Especialy the Terran Empire Empress issue! Great imaginitive skits. My grandkids @ I are reading and laughing together! Trek to share thanks! Keep up to great giggles! Wanting more!
@16 I concurr and 2nd the nomination for ensign sue series!
So, I actually got a chuckle out of your little comic strip, thank you. As I understand it, it’s and ongoing thing?
@27: It’s a mini-series.
I haven’t laughed so hard in a while! Thanks for that! Someone definitely knows their fanzine lore!
Simply delightful, truly loved it! Keep´em coming folks!
