I am going to Dragon Con. I may try to check out a few of the Trek related stuff.

Why… why is G. Wang (Garrett Wang?) seemingly in almost ALL of the panels? Is there a joke?

Actually, I fail at reading. It’s cuz he’s hosting Trek Trak.

:p

Wow. Some great stars there. I bet it will be a lot of fun. Especialy with Martok and Gowron there. get the Blood wine ready!!!!!!

R. Beltran!? Is this a typo? He’s on record saying that Star Trek is terrible and he hates it; or words to that effect. I’m very surprised to hear that he’s planning to attend…

@5

Maybe he really needs the money this year.

In other news, I’m not one to jump on the bandwagon and drone on about the typos that pop up all over the articles here, but tonight I can’t resist. Join D. Crosby for an *exiting* look at the early years of TNG? Quite accurate, TrekMovie. Quite accurate.

it’s possible that G. Wang has been brought in kind of as a “host extordinaire” for all the different panels. That seems a likely scenario.

Wang is the new director for the TREK portion of Dragon Con. The old director left to start his own TREK convention which will beginning February…

Well what can I say! Just be there! If you happen upon an old trekkie in a TOS GOLD. Female uniform hand in hand with a 10 year old girl-dressed as Marlena Moreau, and mirrorverse Capt kirk 6 year old boy…that will be me and my 2 grandkids! See you all there much love from Atlanta

#6 and apparently Troi is unpluged. I have a PhD in English and have no idea what that means….! :)

Sounds… Klingon.

The Hyatt Regency looks so ever 23rd @24th century what better place to start trek track! So stop by our very own Starbase or Federation colony and check our surroundings let’s rename to the Federation regency. Not run by the Farengi!

He’s on the record saying Voyager sucked and treated his character like crap, not that Star Trek sucks.

This does give me an excuse to link to the Robert Beltran Gripe Generator, which still cracks me up: http://www.firsttvdrama.com/funstuff/beltran.php3

It should also be noted that Dragoncon lamely booted Peter David from his regular panel without providing him any reason at all.

Welcome to Atlanta! We’re glad you’re here. Have a great weekend!

Too bad that James Cawley will not be able to make this year.
One of the few people who is doing anything to perserve Roddenberrys ideas!
Miss him already.

James Cawley will be here

Wow! Between Robert Beltran hating and bitching about Voyager and Michelle Forbes complaining just a few days ago that she’s tired of talking about ST:TNG, what a treat for all the fans paying their hard earned money to go to this convention!! And the two of them are on panels for discussions. And they cut loose Peter David! Thank God for the DS9 people ,who for the most part I’ve heard nothing but good things about (Brooks, Auberjonois, Hertzler, O’Reilly. Visiter, Shimmerman, etc.).
Also kudos for the ENT. crew who seem to enjoy interacting with the fans. Most of all, Thank Goodness for James Cawley, who as “scifib5st” said has done more to “preserve Roddenberry’s ideas” than anybody else and his motives are non-monetary. He and his crew work on a shoe string budget to make fan films for the love of it. Just want to say Thank You to Cawley and Crew. And a Thank You to the Star Trek cast members who attend Conventions and are Gracious and Polite to the fans. You make it worth paying the money to go. And to the ones who constantly Bitch about “Trek”, STAY HOME. I’m sure the fans won’t miss you.

Been a blast- broke the costume record at 571 people

At a Q&A, someone said a short phrase to Robert Beltran: ” go to …” I don´t understand … what did he say to Beltran?
