Great to see the two original stars (Shatner, Nimoy) still kickin’ around!

Ah, but for how much longer…..

Kirk: “time is the fire in which we burn”

Spock: “indeed!”

damnit NOOOO!!!!
i was just in chicago LAST weekend

There’s one in Dallas? I didn’t know.

Christopher Lloyd was great as Commander Kruge. I remember reading a description of him at the time that he was “cruel, even by Klingon standards.” I’ll never forget his line “Then I hope pain is something you enjoy.”

I am currently NOT AT WORK because Nimoy changed to Friday LOL took the day off to go to the Con in Chicago

Damn, I saw this awhile ago but forgot, I wonder if I can make it tomorrow for the DS9 panels.

And there’s the classic line: “Say the wrong thing, Torg!”
Lloyd was awesome in that movie. Sure, he was no Montalban, but who is? :)

#7 … Montalban.

Hey, thats 45 minutes from here! YES!.

Wow, Mr. Nimoy wont be there. Super let down…

I………….HAVE HAD……………….ENOUGH OF………..YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Soo, Christopher Lloyd is in 2 places at once… Fascinating.

Its a shame Nimoy cannot make it since he is retired from the CON circuit as this was to be his last or so Creations said. He was great in Las Vegas.

Gonna try to go see Shatner in Dallas today. Have to watch my boys while the woman’s out. Again, didn’t know……so we’ll see.

No, sorry. And only 40 minutes away. In my defense I only found out about it yesterday. Where and when are these things advertised?

Probably on the official Star Trek website, but, hey, who goes there?? :>)

It was great ton see Shatner and Lloyd in Plano . Shatner, as always, has a lot on his plate. He had just recorded some tracks for a new cd where he will cover a lot of tunes called Seeking Major Tom. His show, Aftermath, has been renewed as has his new sitcom. Financing fell apart, literally, days before he was set to film the sequel to Free Enterprise, so that wont be happening. He just interviewed Walter Koenig for an upcoming episode of Raw Nerve and he said Leonard is doing well. Also, as far as The new movie goes, in answer to a fan’s question, he found nothing wrong with another Trek going on in an alternate universe…it’s all fiction. He didn’t comment, nor was he asked anything about appearing in JJs sequel. He was funny, energetic, courteous and genuinely grateful to the fans. My god, how he be almost 80? He doesn’t look it or act it, even in person. all in all a great time.

my prediction…Bill Shatner will live to the young age 125 and still be working!

How was Lloyd? Any interesting stories?

Vultan, Lloyd was very friendly and looked geat but sadly, he wasn’t given a Q&A. Which was crazy…Back the Future, Roger Rabbit, Trek 3, Taxi…the stories this guy must have. And the fact that Hollywood isn’t knocking on his door more is even more the tragedy.

Agreed. More Lloyd would be good.

He has some interesting things to say in the BTTF DVD special features. I’ve heard that he’s a reserved, almost shy person in real life. Perhaps that’s why there wasn’t a Q&A?

Oh, and don’t forget that Lloyd was also in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (along with Taxi co-star Danny DeVito). He had to get at least one good Jack N. story out of that!

Hey Harry dont you feel like a dick for what you said. Leonard is in the hospital now!!

23.

Well, hey, DS9, it’s not like these ballz are chrystal, y’know!

I always have nothing but best wishes for Mr. Nimoy!

Hope they both live to be 100!

Jonboc,

Look at you. I wanted to go. What time was Shatner on stage? Was it packed? I might could have gone. Even so, I read how much it was to see him.

You’d think he’d do Free Enterprise II for free. He’s got enough money.

Hey Andy, yeah…and he pocketed a lot more money on Saturday lol. But he was great, bummer about the Free Enterprise sequel He went on a little before 3, and talked till 4. The room was standing room only, but I figured it would be and staked out a good general admission seat during the event just prior to his. The autograph line was long, but moved along at a good clip. I already had his signature so I spent most of my time waiting for CHristopher Lloyd lol. But Shat was having a great time, I’m sure he’ll be back. Sorry you weren’t able to make it, it was a good way to spend a rainy-tornado filled saturday!

For a fan who hasn’t done the convention thing, and generally balks at prices put on these shows, is it really worth it? If I wanted to get the most bang for my buck, what do you recommend in general?
