Shatner gives details on his album, talks "Captains" at Fan Days

William Shatner started off his time on stage talking about his new sitcom, $#!* My Dad Says, and in the second part of the video below Bill gives some new details on his upcoming album, saying it will be called "Seeking Major Tom" and be comprised of covers of twenty  "science-fiction songs", including David Bowie’s "Space Oddity" (and possibly also "Ashes to Ashes" and "Hallo Spaceboy", Thomas Dolby’s "She Blinded Me With Science, Queen’s "Bohemian Rhapsody" and even a Black Sabbath song. TNG stars joke around at Fan Days – Spiner laments "Blue Skies" not on Nemsis sound track

Showing their continued great chemistry, TNG stars Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner and Michael Dorn spent much of their time on goofing off on stage (and in the audience) at Fan Days. The segment started off with Frakes in the audience firing off questions, with Dorn and Spiner giving less-than-serious replies, like how the consensus on how to make Nemesis better: "we should have killed Riker". In the second part the three talk about pet peeves, and do some singing as well. Spiner also talks about how he was "peeved" that he recorded "Blue Skies" for the Star Trek: Nemesis soundtrack and they didn’t include on the soundtrack album.

Watch the video in two parts below.

you gotta love Frakes

I would love to hear the full version of Spiner’s Blue Skies!

These guys are great. Makes me wonder what a sitcom with then would be like.

Ground control to … Major Tom … commencing countdown … engines …. ON!

These guys are the best :)

You’d think Shatner would get some free air travel as part of his Priceline deal, but getting a private jet because he’s Captain Kirk is even better.

We had a great time at the show-Shatner was kewl!

she……. blinded me………….with….sci—-ence….
LOL I can’t wait

Wow, again, I was right next to it. Wish I could have gone to see Shatner. Darn family responsibilities and having a life and all that. Oh well. It was raining like crazy. How’d he get there through that?

Last Shatner album was good.. will definitely check the new one out..

I was there! Front row center Shatner! What energy that man has. Can’t wait for the new record, should be an epic production. Now how can we get him to perform it on Broadway? A tour? There is never enough Shatner!

In what way exactly is Bohemian Rhapsody a science-fiction song?
Mama Mia, let it go.

I just saw a couple of chicks in the Frakes, Dorn, Spiner video and they are quite hot! Why can’t Trekkie girls look like that over here in Belfast???

Still mad. Damn. Plano just a stones throw from me.

“In what way exactly is Bohemian Rhapsody a science-fiction song?”

He found a way.

Dang, I was hoping I’d be reading about a new collaboration with Ben Folds. “Has Been” remains one of my favorite albums of the last 10 years. Seriously.

Spiners a bit of a jerk. not totally, but when he doesn’t want to be nice, he isn’t nice. He’s not overly mean, just a bit. Oh well, The other two make up for it.

15 – You got me. Trumped by Futurama and The Shat.

Give yourself some credit too, CmdrR – you set me up perfectly, and I thank you :-)
