Great choices, I would have to go with this one for best low budget Remake of a Star Trek Trailer!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QiDdRGUR8aA

my favorite is the family guy clips

I totally agree with your choice of Best Overall Star Trek Viral Video, “The Night of the Living Trekkies Book Trailer.” The jokes work and shows we, Trekkers have a sense of humor. And the Red Shirt at the end gets some of the best lines.

mmmm its meekakitty not meekagirl—-i should know thanx to trekmovie.com i went n bought her song on itunes–purrrrr

That person from the Star Trek Girl video should get a small part all beat not a read shirt for the next Star Trek Flim as a Camo!

The Star Trek vs. Star Wars (missing here) was also good. As was the Kirk – Spock “Brokeback Mountain” vid (also missing here). Have no problem with the Tic Tok video, but it wasn’t well edited.

1. “Keeping Up with the Cardassians” — excellent title. Now, to make it a reality show.

2. I still don’t understand why Dr. Crusher was left out of that Family Guy parody. It’s like, there’s even an empty space for her on the bridge.

…Oh, I think I get it now.

Anthony…these awards are for viral vids from the last year, not all time. So things like brokeback trek from 2007 dont qualify

Love ’em. Night of the Living Trekkies is a dream come true.

>.> <.<

My own video plug as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBNjUuVx2f8

There’s a reason why Ke$ha’s Tik Tok wasn’t well liked. SHE CAN’T BLOODY SING!!! My god, man! Has she been able to stay on key once in her life?

how come GeneralGrin’s TNG edits are never mentioned? they’re my favorite vids on youtube

I like the TikTok Trek video. My favorite of all of these.

I really like the “How it Should Have Ended”.

My god it (Trek) is 45 this year!

I just got over the 40th!

Hey Josh. Wait till the big 50 year bash. Lol.
I like all of the choices. But Family Guy is the best. Very Funny stuff.

For those that missed it as it was way back in 2008, we also did a ‘Animated’ trailer for JJ’s Trek: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g90C7qyR1Qk

Enjoy!

That one of the girl dancing to the Star Trek thing was adorable! I only wish there were more kids like her out there. (by the way, did anybody else think the fact that the episode they were watching was “Amok Time” was funny as hell?)

And Captain Kirk as Ke$ha…what can I say?

Matt Berry from the IT Crowd is so talented. He was Sanchez on Garth Marenghi’s Dark Place and also played himself along with Rich Fulcher in Snuffbox, both too short-lived British TV series. Matt’s solo music albums are wonderful.

Spockboy gets my vote every time!

Not only are his mashups funny, but the video quality and editing are beautiful! I hope we see more from him this year.

My favourite is the Girls on Film redo of the Hella Bar Talk scene, but I still wish they’d subtly re-jigged the dialogue so that Kirk & Pike referred to each-other as females; that incongruity is the only thing that jars me out of an otherwise excellent performance.

It wouldn’t’ve been that hard, mostly just swapping genders, and even the line “if you’re half the man your father was” could’ve been changed to “if you’re half the Kirk your father was”…

That’s awesome!
Thanks so much guys (and Enterprisingguy)

I did a better version of the Balok thing (much better music anyway)

:)

I’ll be your star trek oh I’ll be your star trek girl. I’ll be your star trek– BE.YOUR.STAR.TREK.GIRL!!

The Trololololo Guy I never saw before but the vibes are very similar to say Andy Kaufman singing….Kaufman woulda liked this singing guy heheheh

Yah the Zombie Trek Trailer was so good I passed it on to a friend who works at Boeing lots of trek fans there….he said they all wanted to know when the Movie or video was coming out..they were not interested in the graphic novel but they wanted to watch that movie hahaah

Hey Jim

Tell your friend at Boeing its a novel, not a graphic novel. Would love it to be a movie. Maybe soon…

Kevin

yep Kevin now that is a sign of a really good trailer when the trailer is more interesting than thebook or stories its promoting haha.

In other words, “It was a bad year for Star Trek videos”. Brevity, people – look into it.

The Girls On Film Star Trek scene was pretty awesome. I just looked at there site and they just did an awesome scene from No Country For Old Men!! These girls are really doing good work… and the directors images are spot on.
check out the latest episode here http://www.thegirlsonfilm.com

This was different:
Star Trek: Mormon Mommy sings Klingon “I am a Child of God”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQDjRrOWEpE
Not that many hits though.
