Trek Fools Day
As noted on our Twitter feed in our first article of the day, TrekMovie did not do a prank today (yes that planned Paramount Theme Park in Spain is real). And unlike last year, it was pretty quiet for Star Trek-themed pranks around the web. Here are links to a few

This week brought a fairly foolish but fun Star Wars/Star Trek mashup image with Starfleet officer Han Solo and his Mugatu sidekick Chewbacca (via Phil Noto).

For our foolish videos of the week here are a couple of new entries in the sub-genre of opening theme mashups. First up is Star Trek: The Next Generation mashed with the sitcom Growing Pains (via explevel2).
Our second theme mashup is all Shatner, with TJ Hooker opening mashed up with scenes from the TOS era movies to give you "TJ Hooker in the 23rd Century" (from ironhandz1).
Like the Star Wars/Star Trek mashup. How come we don’t see any of the Trek characters in the Star Wars universe…or have I not been paying attention?

Also, Han Solo would make a great character in the Trek universe as a civilian smuggler who helps out the Feds once in a while. Harrison Ford is a great actor. Even at his current age, he could make it work.

Just went to see “Source Code” and it reminds me a bit of “Quantum Leap”. At the end though credits it says Scott Bakula voice of Colter’s father. Colter talks to his father on the cell phone in the movie, but you never see his father in the movie.
