Nick Meyer was great in his time!

Star Trek II and VI, two of my most favorite Star Trek movies. I wish I could be there, Meyer, Orci, Kurtzman, and Lindelof, what a treat.

Orci, Kurtzman and Lindelof together? … it will be interesting… I hope somebody asks questions about the sequel… I’m curious to see how they will deal with it … “the top secret”… I mean!

I want to see that, Mr. Bob Orci … Hi, wherever you are! LOL

:-) :-)

Well … on June 10, director JJAbrams premiere film Super 8, right?… maybe they can already talk a little bit of Trek 2 … just a bit!

:-) :-)

Thanks for mentioning the British events going on! :)

Want to go badly!! All of the events, really. But mostly the cinema to watch the movies again, and to listen to Nick, Bob, Damon and Alex in regards to their respective films!

Anthony, I think you need to have a contest where we all win and are awarded a trip for two to the event.

Yeah!! that sounds like a great idea!!

Second idea for me… swindle my husband somehow to take me 2,230 miles to the event, since he doesn’t/won’t fly. hmmm….. A few tabs of Benedryl, and I would need a couple of people to help me get him in the plane- bwahahaha!

Third idea…. Everyone there come to the midwest!!! YES!! Ok, so we had record, history making tornados- and the flooding?? Well we’re blowing levees now- so by the time you came out here all would be, um ok, I hope! You could charge extra and the extra go to the victims of these events!

I like #3- Seriously though. It would be great for the victims of these disasters and would get Trekkies and non Trekkies attention!! Especially giving the fact that I believe Charlie Sheen has been the only “celeb” to visit the hardest hit state.

I know this would be asking ALOT especially given the deadlines and such- but Star Trek is the epitome of helping those in need and it would be great to see one or two (if not more) people associated with it visit and offer assistance. (or even proceeds from shirt sales, books, movie, etc) It would set Trek even further apart from the other film’s and show what it is really about.

Well didn’t mean to get on my box, (Anthony, I hope I am not out of line here but here goes and I understand if you have to delete this) My family and I have been in the middle here between AL, TN, GA and now IL, MO, MI, AR, and KY and their own disasters. I don’t know where to go to help first, (physically) and I can only go on the weekends atm. I am not taking money but am trying to gather things to take to any of these areas in between my schedule-

If any of you can, it would be incredibly appreciated if you could make even a small donation to help these folks out. Just “google” for tornado donations and many come up.

-Of course be cautious and do some research before sending money to someone.

Thanks for the updates as always Anthony-

Man i wish i could be at one of those!!!! Dream come true!! But,i guess i’ll just hear about it,oh well. And i also would like to thank Anthony, for giving us this wonderful news to talk about. You do a good job Anthony,i came across this site before Trek09 came out,and i’ve been here ever since!! :)

#6 Yes, I have seen some of the destruction from those tornadoes on the TV news here (in NZ). Just horrendous. I am surprised that no one here and other sites devoted to some Star Trek or other has mentioned these disasters. Perhaps it is because these weather events are so commonplace that people tend to “switch off” (I don’t think people deliberately intend to not care or anything), but it can be devastating for those who do get hit by one of these twisters. Totally freaky watching those twisters, for real.

Auckland (NZ) just had a tornado on Tuesday, 3 May. I cannot recall there ever being a tornado here but others can remember small ones, but they have been so infrequent. Hurricanes and cyclones at times, yes, but not tornadoes. Fortunately we were not hit. It happened in the north of Auckland’s CBD and whipped over about 15kms before petering out. Not as big as the ones suffered in the US, but certainly gave us a scare. One person died and 15 people were injured enough to be in hospital, two are critical. It could have been a lot worse if it had happened at the same time on a Saturday afternoon, when there are huge numbers of shoppers about. A major shopping mall was hit, among other places.

Having Bob, Alex and Damon in one place away from the Trek studio on 10 June could surely mean only one thing – soft prep. would have become hard prep. and those guys will just be in the way of any construction etc. However, JJ is at the studio, overseeing everything as director.

The script is “in the bag now”, isn’t it, and there is a big green light blazing somewhere and JJ has signed on as director? Bob – am I right?

Oh no. Just realised. They’ve all headed down a huge rabbit-hole. Anyone good at burrow hunting?

Just some random thoughts and wishes from a trekkie/pinenut.

Hurray! I just baught my tickets. I worked as an extra on star trek 2009. Hope to get on the next one too. Never seen star trek 2 on the big screen. Awesome…

One idea… well, what I’d love to see in the new Trek… Based on Hugh Laurie’s House character, I’d love to see Hugh Laurie don the blue uniform in a possible scene as McCoy’s father. I think that’d be awesome!

#11,dude,that would be awesome!! i argee with you 100%!! i can hear that going down in my head right now. KIRK:Dr.House i need you with us in the landing party. HOUSE:i’m not going. KIRK:thats an order Mr. HOUSE:an order?! i take orders from no one!! your fired!! and you can go to hell!!! :)

Cool

Cool.

This is very cool. Trek 09 and STII are the two greatest Treks ever. I can’t wait for the sequel. Nuance cats, that’a what it’s all about in the end. Indeed. Yes Yes. Keep the message strong and dig the green dog.

Wish I could go, Figure we will at least hear what the new Movie will be called and when they start shooting!

Hugh Laurie in Star Trek. I can picture him as a grizzled Starfleet up-and-up giving them their big mission orders. He’s got a great voice for exposition, whichever accent he goes with.

I predict that Bob will take this occasion to announce that the script is finished and that JJ has signed on and is beginning pre-production.

#18,Anthony,i hope your right!!! that would make me a very happy Trekker!! :)

i also have hopes in that maybe he will tell us something Sunday, which marks two years since StarTrek09 came out.

Hugh Laurie as Commodore Decker.

Or Hugh Laurie could do his Prince Albert (Blackadder) LOL

Sorry – couldn’t resist…:)

Seems like a great opportunity to announce Nick Meyer taking over directing duties for the sequel!

“The night will include a screening of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan followed by a chat with director Nicholas Meyer, and then a screening of Star Trek (2009) ”

Great, there’ll be a pause to go and buy some eggs and tomatoes. Bonus points if all of them are rotten.

23.
….

SHUT THE F**K UP!

Is this true? … JJAbrams said it really? … What do you think of it, Anthony Pascale?
