New poster evoks Spielberg

And if you hadn’t got the whole homage to Steven Spielberg vibe yet, the Japanese poster for Super 8 really drives that home (via FirstShowing).

"Super 8" is Close Encounter’s of the Abrams kind

If you haven’t seen our previous article (or update), here are the first two Super 8 clips released earlier this week.

Might have to check this movie out, looks interesting.

They’re showing quite a bit of this film, might be better to go in not seeing any clips!

I can’t say it much more, this will be awesome! :)

I’ll see it. I honestly have no idea what it’s about, as I haven’t seen anything but the TV trailer.

Watch the theatrical trailer and you’ll get it; I saw it before Thor the other night, and it’s almost enough to get me back to the theater before the Avengers/Hobbit/Trek trifecta next year.

This will be good. Can’t wait.

Those new clips are awesome. Getting more and more excited about this movie. And the poster reminds me of “Close Encounters Of The Third Kind”.

First there were rumors that Super 8 would be the sequel to Cloverfield. Then those rumors proved to be false. And now that Super 8 is finally about to be released, they actually announce that there will indeed be a long awaited sequel to Cloverfield, after all… or so it seems. Every trailer shows the same clip of the train being destroyed and “something” coming out. Sure feels like cloverfield, where the tagline was “something has found us”. One thing is certain: JJ loves his monsters. Even in Star Trek, we had one on Delta Vega.

The kid reminds me of that kid from ET and when he rides the bike it’s pretty funny, great homage to Spielberg

What do you mean HOMAGE ?

Steven is in charge of the entire production itself yanno

The 3 Dots are in the picture.

love kid movies like the 80s

Lens flares in Japanese poster. Awesome.

Glynn Turman!!

The original Han Solo. :)

JJ IS a huge Star Wars fan.
