Video: Simon Pegg On Conan and Attack Of The Show

Simon Pegg, Star Trek’s new Scotty, is on a mini-tour promoting the US release of his memoir "Nerd Do Well." Yesterday he arrived in Los Angeles and appeared on Attack of the Show and Conan, you can watch the videos below (which are entertaining, but don’t expect any Star Trek sequel news).

New Star Trek movie comic series kicks off in September

Simon on Conan from last night, not much on Star Trek but there was a joke about a "Romulan burrito."

You gotta love Simon!! :)

Simon is great.

But Conan is terrible. I would not watch TV if Conan was the only show broadcast.

Hot Fuzz is still my favorite Pegg movie.

How can you not like conan? Hes the only decent late night person on tv.

I want more Scotty in the next film and Dr. McCoy. Honestly, Simon Pegg and Karl Urban nailed it with their portrayals of Scotty and Bones. I could also use some more kicking ass with that retractable katana Sulu as well.

I thought he was good as Scotty, but there was a feeling that he was still the comic relief of the film.

In the early days Scotty was a pretty serious officer. When Kirk, Spock and McCoy were planet-side and Scotty was left in command, you knew the ship was in good hands. He had authority, command presence and was a true leader (“Friday’s Child” comes to mind, as does the earlier “A Taste of Armageddon”). I’d like to see that aspect of the character realized again, not just the “I’m giving her all she’s got” tinkerer aspect that has been satirized over and over again.
