Star Trek Burlesque Shows In NYC (Friday), Milwaukee (Saturday), Toronto (Sunday), & Chicago (September)

If you are an adult and like to mix risqué performances with your nerd passions, then there is some good news for residents of NYC, Chicago, Milwaukee and Toronto.  Summer is coming to an end and apparently that means it is the season for Star Trek Burlesque. There are four burlesque companies putting on Trek-themed shows: New York (tonight), Toronto (tomorrow), and Chicago (starting in September). See below for details [ADULT CONTENT WARNING].

Today is the birthday of Chris Pine. Star Trek’s new Captain Kirk is turned 31. All of us here at TrekMovie would like to wish the new Captain a Happy Birthday. Anthon Yelchin Still Waiting For Star Trek Sequel Call + Talks Comparisons With Koenig’s Chekov

Anthon Yelchin has been keeping busy since appearing as Chekov in JJ Abrams’ Star Trek. He voices "Clumsy" in the new Smurfs movie and stars in the vampire film Fright Night opening on Friday. In a new interview promoting the film, Yelchin says that he doesn’t know when he will be needed to return to the bridge of the USS Enterprise, but he is ready to go when called. He also talked about comparisons to Walter Koenig.

Star Trek’s William Shatner is about to drop his new record "Seeking Major Tom" where he collaborates with all sorts of rockers doing a number of sci-fi themed cover songs. Syfy Abruptly Cancels Eureka – Wil Wheaton Not Amused [UPDATED]

Today the Syfy channel confirmed earlier reports (and reversed itself from a statement last week) and officially cancelled Eureka, which currently features Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Wil Wheaton in a recurring role.
