Star Trek Gaming Update: Visitor & Auberjonois Talk Infinite Space + STO Gearing Up For Free-To-Play

It is time to catch up on some Star Trek gaming news. First up we have a new video interview with Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’s Rene Auberjonois and Nana Visitor talking about the upcoming browser game Star Trek: Infinite Space. Plus Cryptic has updated their plans on moving Star Trek Online to the free-to-play model. .







Book Review: Star Trek: A Choice of Catastrophes

The evaluation of an abandoned planet by fourteen Enterprise crew members on two shuttlecraft; and the diversion of the mighty starship on – in essence – a milk run to supply a space station with medical supplies sounds innocuous enough, but Michael Schuster and Steve Mollmann present anything but in their new Star Trek novel, “A Choice of Catastrophes”. Star Trek: TNG Remastered is official – Coming To Blu-ray In 2012 [Updated]

Two weeks ago we reported on new details for the Star Trek: The Next Generation – Remastered project. As was rumored, today CBS has made details of the project official. All 178 episodes will be re-scanned from the original films elements and visual effects elements will be re-composited into a 1080p workflow for mastering onto Blu-ray and runs on syndicated television and digital distribution (i.e. Netflix) both domestically and internationally.

Brannon Braga talks TNG, VOY, ENT, Star Trek Movies + more

The writer/producer’s next project, however, is Fox’s prehistoric time travel series Terra Nova from producer Steven Spielberg. Braga took some time to reflect on his time with Star Trek in a new interview with StarTrek.com.


Star Trek Ongoing #1: 7-page preview

Star Trek Ongoing #1 goes on sale this week from IDW Publishing. As previously detailed, Star Trek Ongoing is a new comic book series based on J.J. Abrams’ 2009 Star Trek. IDW describes it as a set of "re-imaginings"of the classic adventures of the 1960s Star Trek TV series. Ahead of tomorrow’s release (Wednesday, September 21) of issue #1, IDW has released a 7-page preview.









William Shatner to guest star on ABC’s Rookie Blue + Shatner’s version of Iron Man to be released

Although his CBS sitcom $#*! My Dad Says was canceled in May, Star Trek’s William Shatner is staying busy. Shatner will guest star on the ABC series Rookie Blue. There’s also an update on his music career, with news that his version of Black Sabbath’s "Iron Man" will be released on his October album Seeking Major Tom (Cleopatra).
