On Thursday night Star Trek fans across the United States attended the Next Generation Second Season Blu-Ray Event. While watching the initial appearance of the Borg on the big screen was a neat experience, the real treat of the evening was seeing, for the first time, the expanded edition of the classic TNG episode "The Measure of a Man". Pine: William Shatner’s Kirk More Iconic Than Ford/Baldwin/Affleck’s Ryan

Star Trek’s new Kirk Chris Pine is currently shooting on another big role for Jack Ryan. In a new interview promoting Rise of the Guardians, Pine discussed the differences in stepping into Jack Ryan’s shoes to Kirk’s space boots, noting how William Shatner is more iconic. JG Hertzler Joins Star Trek Renegades Cast – Project Just $25K Short Of Kickstarter Goal

In September TrekMovie reported that Tim Russ and Walter Koenig were reprising their Star Trek roles for a new independent movie "Star Trek Renegades." The project has just one week left for its KickStarter funding and they are only $25,000 short of their target. They have also just announced JG Hertzler had joined the cast, which now includes nine veteran Trek actors.



Preview of Star Trek Comics For February – Including Issue 2 of New ‘Countdown To Darkness’ Movie Prequel

IDW have released the first details and cover images for their February Star Trek comics. Included will be the 2nd month for the exciting new "Countdown to Darkness" prequel series to the Star Trek: Into Darkness movie. In a new interview promoting his work on American Horror Story, Zach said something which could (if viewed in a certain way) be interpreted as possibly saying he might not return for a third Trek film, following Star Trek Into Darkness.

More Details & Images From 15-Disc Star Trek TOS Music Box Set + Hollywood Event On Dec. 3

Back in August we announced that LaLaLand Records was releasing the ultimate original Star Trek soundtrack with all the music from the series in a giant 15-disc box set. We now have more images of the set and the track listing for the first disc. They have also announced a special free Star Trek event in Hollywood, CA on December 3rd (the night before release). Abrams Not Interested In Directing Star Wars VII – Planning New Original Project

Since the recent announcement that Disney had acquired LucasFilm and they were moving forward with a new Star Wars film trilogy there has been a lot of speculation about who will be involved in these projects. One name that has come up is JJ Abrams. In a new interview the Star Trek Into Darkness producer/director says he has another idea for his next project. Details below.
