Into Darkness London Event w/ Burk, Cumberbatch & Eve: New Character Details + Runtime + Photos & Video

Earlier today Paramount took their Star Trek Into Darkness promotional tour to London where Brit stars Alice Eve and Bendedict Cumberbatch previewed the movie prologue and had a Q&A with the press, joined by producer Bryan Burk. There were some new details revealed, including a target run time for the movie and more information about Eve and Cumberbatch’s characters. TrekMovie had the opportunity to briefly chat with some of the people behind the camera for Star Trek Into Darkness at a cocktail reception at Bad Robot this week. Today we present Alex Kurtzman talking about the importance of the villain in the film and where the crew is on their arc. Also Damon Lindelof talks about how 3D has changed things this time around. And finally JJ Abrams talks about what he will do after Into Darkness.

Neil deGrasse Tyson has taken his hit podcast show, Star Talk Live, on the road. His first stop was at the Neptune Theater in Seattle where Tyson had special guest Wil Wheaton on to talk the science in Star Trek, plus comedic commentary from Kristen Schaal, Paul F. First Impressions Of Star Trek Into Darkness IMAX Preview + JJ Abrams Talks ‘Darkness’

Tonight I had the honor to be invited to a special preview presentation of the opening 9-minute prologue from Star Trek Into Darkness which will be showing at IMAX 3D screenings of the Hobbit next weekend. A detailed play-by-play will be held until next weekend but I can report on comments from JJ Abrams, share my first impressions of seeing IMAX 3D Trek, and go into a bit of minor spoilers (at end of the article).

It has already been announced that the first 9 minutes of Star Trek Into Darkness was going to be seen along with showings of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey starting on December 14th. Today Paramount is providing a list of which IMAX will be showing this Trek preview. Not every theater with The Hobbit will have the preview. TrekMovie has some exclusive details below.

Patrick Stewart Talks ‘Measure of a Man’ & Tiresome’ Attempts At Picard Romance
