New Star Trek Videogame BTS Video Features New Game Footage

The Star Trek co-op video game arrives on April 23rd. The game features a brand new story set between the 2009 Star Trek movie and Star Trek Into Darkness. Today Paramount (and distributor Namco Bandai) released the first of a series of behind the scenes videos on the making the game. This first one explores the co-op experience. Check it out the video which also features new footage. 





Watch: JJ Abrams DICE Keynote – Shows His Star Wars Homage in Star Trek 2009

Last week Star Trek Into Darkness (and future Star Wars) director JJ Abrams gave a keynote speech at the DICE (Design Innovate Communicate Entertain) Summit along with Valve President Gabe Newell. Abrams talk was on "Storytelling Across Platforms" and during his talk he showed a clip of Star Trek and pointed out the little R2-D2 Easter Egg. On Friday William Shatner’s voice will be heard in the animated feature Escape From Planet Earth. While doing publicity for the movie, Bill again weighed in on the new Star Trek, this time heaping praise on director JJ Abrams and the new Kirk, Chris Pine. Eve Denies Star Trek Villain Rumor + Pegg Hopes Abrams Will ‘Remember The Trekkies’ + More From BAFTAs

Sunday brought another awards show with Star Trek Into Darkness celebs presenting, this time it was Simon Pegg and Alice Eve at the BAFTA Film Awards in London. On the red carpet Eve weighed in on the most persistent rumor about co-star Benedict Cumberbatch’s character, and Pegg said he expects JJ Abrams (who is set to direct the next Star Wars movie) to return and direct a 3rd Star Trek film. Hasbro Star Trek Line Unveiled At Toy Fair – Possibly Revealing Some Into Darkness Clues

Yesterday we reported the outline of Hasbro’s plans for Star Trek this spring, and today the company revealed their line at the Toy Fair in New York. The line covers toys for both Star Trek in general as well as speicific toys for the upcoming Star Trek Into Darkness movie. And some of the toys may provide some clues about the Into Darkness movie. Full Details For Star Trek: TNG Season 3 & ‘Best of Both Worlds’ Blu-ray Sets

This evening CBS has now released the full details on their April Blu-ray releases. We have all the disc-by-disc specifics for Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 3 and the special stand-alone ‘The Best of Both Worlds’ Blu-ray sets. In addition we have high res box art, trailers and a demo of the special ‘Best of Both Worlds’ fold-out packaging along with all the pre-order links.   



Hasbro Reveals Star Trek KRE-O Details + First Look At Revell Enterprise & DST ‘Cloaked’ Bird of Prey

Today at the annual Toy Fair in New York Hasbro outlined their product plans for the upcoming year at an investor event, including their line of KRE-O figures and sets for Star Trek Into Darkness. Some fans have spotted something on the order page at Entertainment Weekly that seems to confirm the identity of the movie’s villain. Did it really? Well not exactly. Once again William Shatner is weighing in on his lack of participation in the JJ Abrams Star Trek movies. Bill seems to believe that JJ Abrams doesn’t know what to do with him and he appears dubious about why they never told him about the scene they wrote for him in the 2009 movie. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Music Collection Coming Next Week From La-La Land

La-La Land Records is continuing their series of great Star Trek music releases. Today they officially released details for a new 4-CD collection of music from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The set includes selected music from all all seven seasons along with some previously unreleased music. The DS9 music collection comes out next week. We have full details and an image of the cover below.

Before Star Trek Into Darkness was scripted the filmmakers had said they were hoping to make a film that was more relevant to the issues of the day. In a newly released video interview excerpt, the actor who plays the film’s villain notes that the parallels to the modern world are "chilling." New Set of Star Trek Retro Posters Revealed + Designs Now Also Available On T-Shirts

The seventh set of the cool retro style posters promoting individual episodes of the original Star Trek have been revealed. The new set of four prints from Qmx includes "Amok Time," "Operation Annihilate," "Is There in Truth No Beauty?" and "Day of the Dove."
