Here is the press release that goes along with the short film:

Petsami is proud to present the exclusive digital premiere of "Dog Eat Dog" starring Zachary Quinto, Philip Baker Hall, and Sharon Wilkins.

"Dog Eat Dog" is a short film based on the true story of how actor/producer Zachary Quinto finally adopted his first dog in a Los Angeles Animal Shelter. During the events of his hilarious trials in attempting to adopt a shelter animal, Sian Heder, the film’s director was there by his side. Taking notes. Preparing a great dinner party story. And that story, told on countless occasions, eventually evolved into the script. "Dog Eat Dog" is a twisted, fun, morality tale about the lengths to which some of us will go in order to get what we want.

"We are excited to be sharing "Dog Eat Dog" with Petsami. This story is very close to all of us, as we have all rescued or fostered dogs over the years. The story of the film is an exaggerated account of how I eventually found my rescue dog Noah, but it still reflects a bit of the reality I faced when I was looking to adopt a shelter dog. Additionally, we are incredibly honored to have Philip Baker Hall and Sharon Wilkins, both pet lovers themselves, join us to make the film," said star of film Zachary Quinto.

"I am thrilled to be able to partner with Zachary and Before The Door Pictures to distribute Dog Eat Dog as it reflects the original and inspirational programming that our audiences love," said David Beebe, SVP and General Manager of Fishbowl’s Digital Studio, who himself has three rescue dogs from City of Los Angeles Shelters. "Dog Eat Dog allows us to continue to provide great and relevant content for our audience, as well as more cross-promotion opportunities with Revision3. It also allows the film to reach new and engaging audiences and hopefully inspire others to adopt dogs that are looking for a loving and forever home."

may not be appropriate to say that all who love ZQ already seen this video, it’ll be like I’m criticizing the delay of TrekMovie …

….. OK guys I’m just kidding! ;-) :-)

You guys should dig up the Billy On The Street bit with Zach. “It’s Spock! Do you care?!?”

I don’t get it XD
He wanted the other dog? The old guy wanted the other dog?

#3, Sunfell, thanks for sharing that link. That was hilarious, mostly b/c of Zach’s great sense of humor about himself!

Now I want to see one with cats =^..^=

That was cute. Seldom have ZQ’s big brown eyes been used to such great effect!

Whichever rescue pet we end up with, he or she is the perfect one for us.

Cute. My daughter liked it.
