Watch: Trek Homage On Saturday’s ‘Littlest Pet Shop’

This weekend Star Trek shows that there really is kid appeal in the franchise with an homage on the Hub’s Littlest Pet Shop. The animated series features a daydream sequence with the characters envisioned as the bridge crew of the original USS Enterprise. See below for the clip and a couple of exclusive images.

My Littlest Pet Shop Goes Trek

TV Guide has an exclusive video from The Hub’s Littlest Pet Shop from Saturday’s episode. In the episode entitled "Sweet (Truck) Ride," the pets accidentally send Aunt Christie’s new catering truck (a mobile version of her sweet shoppe that opened next door to the Littlest Pet Shop in last week’s episode) careening down the street. Blythe jumps in to stop the truck and rescue everyone, but she is later blamed for the incident. To get her off the hook, the pets decide to film a reenactment. (Christie is the aunt of Blythe’s friend Youngmee)

About Littlest Pet Shop:

The half-hour animated comedy series follows young Blythe and her father as they move into a Downtown City apartment above the Littlest Pet Shop – an amazing day-camp for pets of all kinds including an adorable panda, dancing gecko and dog diva. But the real adventure begins when Blythe discovers she can miraculously understand and talk with the animals! The pets may be small, but their big personalities often lead to uproarious pop music-inspired song and dance sequences featuring all-new original music.

Hub has also provided TrekMovie with a couple of shots from the show.

The episode airs Saturday at 11:30am ET/8:30am PT on The Hub.

They’ve recast Kirk again? How young do they want him?

What next, John de Lancie reprising Q on a few episodes of My Little Pony?

TREK is cool and into everything now!!! AWESOME!!!!

Son, this is shit. This is Shinola.

Guess what this show is?

Well, no debates on mass hysteria here. Cute animations….

Anyone else notice that, according to TV Guide description, the character playing Spock is named “Zoe”, and the character playing Uhura is named “Nyota”?…hmmm.

Same sound FX as TOS? (Bridge, phasers, etc) Aren’t they copyrighted?

#7: If they were, Futurama would not exist as we know it!
