More images from the recent Empire magazine cover story on Star Trek Into Darkness have emerged. Mostly they are things variations of things seen before but there is one image of director JJ Abrams with a clear view of the bridge on a ship different than the USS Enterprise. The latest issue of the official Star Trek magazine has an interview with Star Trek Into Darkness co-writer/producers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. The pair talk about the villain John Harrison, the arc of the crew, how the film ties into today and even a bit about their next Star Trek movie. And the tradition will continue with the release of Star Trek Into Darkness thanks to a privately crowdfunded campaign to air PSAs at screenings of the new Trek movie which will promote more NASA funding.

It includes interviews with cast and crew of classic Trek shows and the new Star Trek Into Darkness, including Simon Pegg. Today Perfect World and Cryptic announced a major expansion to Star Trek Online, the massive multiplayer game set in Star Trek’s 25th century. The “Star Trek: Countdown To Darkness” comic book prequel to the Star Trek Into Darkness has fans analyzing every word and page for clues to the new movie. Issue 3 came out today (see TrekMovie review & preview). Issue 4 is due out in April, but the first page has been revealed online. Check it out below.
As we have been reporting, Star Trek Into Darkness producer Bryan Burk has been on a global tour showing footage of the movie at special preview events for industry and press professionals.
