Esurance is now running a commercial in the US for Star Trek Into Darkness that is kind of funny. Plus poor Chekov finally gets respect with his own domestic character poster (and Scotty gets one too). Check it all out below.
Esurance TV Spot: Space Fender Bender
Esurance has released their first TV spot from their Star Trek Into Darkness co-marketing campaign and it is pretty clever and apparently shot on the real bridge of the USS Enterprise.
Esurance TV spots join those for Mazda and Acer Computers.
Domestic Character Posters For Scotty and Chekov
UPDATED: Chekov and Scotty get their own posters (now w/o Moviefone watermark).

It is my understanding that the esurance spot was shot with real set pieces but it was done after movie wrapped so it isnt exact and there are some parts that are different. Same thing was done for Burger King commercial in 2009.
I guess it was just having some faith and patience – that’s all it was.
We now a great poster of each of the magnificent seven. I wonder if there might be one of Admiral Pike (Bruce Greenwood) making it a wonderful super 8…who knows…

It isn’t exact, because it’s not meant to be the Enterprise. Does the Captain not say “Why is that the Enterprise gets all the good missions”. It’s a random Starfleet ship. Oh, and the Reman-like alien sit’s in Marcus/Harrison chair :)

Thought the commercial was funny! It’d be cool if they have a couple different versions of the commercial with those two. I suppose it’s one way of getting a Trek “series” back on TV….
