Destination Star Trek 3

The third Destination Star Trek begins this Friday in London, promising to be a huge event full of panels, screenings, events, parties, exhibits…and of course photo ops and autographs. The show runs from Friday October 3rd through Sunday October 5th at the ExCel Centre in London’s East End.

There will be around three dozen celebrity guests, representing every Trek TV show and the Trek movies, both on screen and behind-the-screens. Highlights include a screening and Q&A with Nicholas Meyer and an opening ceremony (hosted by Jonathan Ross) on Friday. Saturday features a Star Trek: The Next Generation reunion with Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Gates McFadden, Michael Dorn, Marina Sirtis, LeVar Burton, John deLancie, Denise Crosby and Colm Meaney (moderated by William Shatner) on Saturday. And on Sunday William Shatner is back appearing with Leonard Nimoy (via Skype). And fans of the new Star Trek movies will enjoy panels with Bruce Greenwood and Karl Urban.

I find it interesting that William Shatner is hosting all of these TNG panels at the conventions. I know he and Patrick Stewart are good friends.
