Rainn Wilson Offers TrekMovie Readers Double Chance To Win ‘Discovery’ Premiere Contest

Earlier this month we reported Rainn Wilson (who plays Harry Mudd on Star Trek: Discovery) launched contest supporting his charity Lide Haiti. Donations to the charity give you a chance to win a trip for two to the September 19th Hollywood premiere of  Discovery. The winner will be able to join Rainn and the cast of Star Trek: Discovery at the show’s cast party, walk the red carpet, and attend the after-party as Rainn‘s guest.

There are various levels of donations, starting at $10 and each level offers perks and prizes. For each dollar you donate you get 10 prize entries. And now the contest is offering TrekMovie readers a chance to double their entries. So now your $10 donation gives you 200 entries and your $25 donation gives you 500 entries and so on. To to make a double contest entry donation CLICK THIS LINK.

All proceeds of the fundraiser go to benefit girls education in Haiti through the Lide Haiti. For more on the contest, here is a video Rainn (with a help from a little friend) sent out over the weekend.

As noted in the video, there is another way to guarantee a spot as a guest of Rainn and that is through the charity auction site charitybuzz.com/harrymudd. The highest bidder wins, and currently the high bid is at $1,850 with an estimated value of $5,000

Star Trek: Discovery premieres on September 24th on CBS with all subsequent episodes on CBS All Access in the US.  In Canada Star Trek: Discovery will premiere  on Bell Media’s CTV and the Space Channel on the same night. Netflix will launch Star Trek: Discovery on Monday, September 25 to countries outside of the U.S. and Canada.

Not bad, laddybuck, but you should curl your handlebars for the full effect.

He looks okay for the younger version.

Never mind the fact that rainbow is 51,
And Roger C Carmel was 34/35 in TOS ;)

Sorry lol that autocorrected Rainn to Rainbow lol.

Speaks for a healthy lifestyle, if you ask me.

Hate to repeat myself but what in the world makes you think Mudd wouldn’t have tried various beauty drugs on himself over his years on his way to MUDD’S WOMEN??

I mean he’s definitely vain.

Yeah but he loOKs younger than Roger Carmel.

Marc Henson

Re: Yeah but he loOKs younger

Ok, then that’s time appropriate, but there’s no reason to expect that all his acquired Avon wares work exactly as advertised, either.

He looks way older than the TOS version though. That grey beard doesn’t help. And based on the description DIS Mudd will be very different than TOS Mudd. They should have just created a new character.

Agreed!!! I think he looks the part perfectly!

And that is how he will voice Mudd in the new series, I suppose? ;-)

Awesome!!! Can’t wait to see the return of Harry Mudd on Star Trek Discovery!!!! I think Rainn Wilson was an awesome choice – will be dramatic yet full of situational comedy I presume (hope?).
