Earlier this month we reported Rainn Wilson (who plays Harry Mudd on Star Trek: Discovery) launched contest supporting his charity Lide Haiti. Donations to the charity give you a chance to win a trip for two to the September 19th Hollywood premiere of Discovery. The winner will be able to join Rainn and the cast of Star Trek: Discovery at the show’s cast party, walk the red carpet, and attend the after-party as Rainn‘s guest.
There are various levels of donations, starting at $10 and each level offers perks and prizes. For each dollar you donate you get 10 prize entries. And now the contest is offering TrekMovie readers a chance to double their entries. So now your $10 donation gives you 200 entries and your $25 donation gives you 500 entries and so on. To to make a double contest entry donation CLICK THIS LINK.
All proceeds of the fundraiser go to benefit girls education in Haiti through the Lide Haiti. For more on the contest, here is a video Rainn (with a help from a little friend) sent out over the weekend.

As noted in the video, there is another way to guarantee a spot as a guest of Rainn and that is through the charity auction site charitybuzz.com/harrymudd. The highest bidder wins, and currently the high bid is at $1,850 with an estimated value of $5,000
Star Trek: Discovery premieres on September 24th on CBS with all subsequent episodes on CBS All Access in the US. In Canada Star Trek: Discovery will premiere on Bell Media’s CTV and the Space Channel on the same night.
