Ten-Forward Vodka Launches, Inspired By ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’

Following on from the announcement of the James T. Kirk bourbon whiskey a few weeks ago, Silver Screen Bottling used the opening of Comic-Con to reveal their second entry in their new line of Star Trek-themed spirits.

This time they are going to Star Trek: The Next Generation with Ten-Forward Vodka, inspired by the U.S.S. Enterprise-D’s onboard lounge. It is described as something for “discerning vodka drinkers to go where no man has gone before.” And it will spend some time in space: a batch is being sent into the mesosphere in a high-altitude balloon. When it returns, it will be blended in with the rest of the stock–so every bottle will contain vodka from space.

According to Silver Screen, the Ten-Forward Vodka is “made from choice American Grain, carefully distilled 6 times, and delivered via terrestrial and interstellar transport for the enjoyment of discerning adventurers on planet Earth, aboard the Starship Enterprise-D, and across the galaxy.” The design on the bottle comes from legendary Star Trek designer Mke Okuda.

The Star Trek Vodka vodka retails for $29.99 and will be available later this year and can be ordered at TenForwardVodka.com,

I wait for some inverse drinks. Why don’t they sell some fictonal beverages like saurian brandy, raktajino, root beer or earl grey tea.

Errrrr… root beer and Earl Grey tea are real things.

Let’s hope he was kidding…

Yeah, sorry I was. But root beer really does not exist where I live. I’m desperate to try one. Would be cool if they would establish it here in the bottle and wuth the label they used at DS9.

I did wonder :-) Where do you live?

Germany.

Come now, you have real beer in Germany! Blend some black licorice with some soda water and corn syrup and, ta da, you have root beer.

Root Beer is vile!

…“discerning vodka drinkers to go where no man has gone before.”

That’s a new euphemism for getting hammered, anyway!

TOS is whiskey, TNG is vodka. That tells me everything right there.

So what are the others? DS9 has to be absinthe, for sure!

Did they even drink alcohol on Voyager? I’m almost convinced Janeway had a mandate where all the replicators only made coffee. But maybe some Irish coffee as well to stay true to her roots. ;)

Well the only Irish one was O’Brien on TNG and DS9, though I see him as a Guinness man through and through. Pretty sure he’d throw an Irish coffee back in your face if you tried that with him.

Isn’t Janeway Irish herself? I guess I assumed that since Kate Mulgrew herself is and Janeway sounds Irish enough.

But I guess with that thinking that would make Picard British lol.

Excellent comment, Tallguy.

Meh, I’ll be impressed when someone starts selling Aldebaran whiskey, Romulan Ale, and some Klingon Coffee.

Man I wish I drunk harder alcohol lol. I couldn’t tell you the difference between Kirk’s Brandy and Ten-forward’s Vodka.

If they start selling a Picard wine I can probably get into that! Wasn’t Captain Georgiou a fan?

For once, the packaging on one of these tie-in booze products actually works. I wonder if the liquid inside is any good.

Really, LCARS on a bottle….why not make it any more less visually appealing
