The first Star Trek: Discovery season 2 trailer released at Comic-Con showed us that Anson Mount’s Captain Christopher Pike takes command of the USS Discovery, and yesterday TrekMovie.com exclusively revealed he will be featured for all 13 episodes for the second season. Now CBS has released a video of the cast at Comic-Con talking about Mount’s Pike. They also put out a video of the cast reading fan reactions from social media to the trailer.

Cool! I was certain I saw some “lace,” but I’m happy I didn’t.
Mount is a good-looking dude. But Jeffery Hunter’s eyes were piercing and amazing. I like the fact that it seems that Disco will have a rotating captain every season. That’s a neat concept.
Pretty sure the Great Bird referred to the Great Bird of the Galaxy…Gene Roddenberry…
Pretty sure Sulu talked about the Great Bird in TOS and the title was slapped onto Gene later by fans.
