Tomorrow IDW will release two brand new Star Trek comics. The fifth and final issue of the Star Trek: The Animated Series crossover with the Transformers cartoon, and the second issue of another crossover comic that brings together captains from four Star Trek series.

More crossovers. The sooner IDW loses this license and it gets back to DC or Marvel, the better.

I don’t see how that would make a significant difference. Marvel had both TOS and TNG crossover with the X-Men. And IDW and DC have more recently done crossovers involving Star Trek (Green Lantern in two different series and Legion of Superheroes).

DC is going out of business slowly and cutting back their number of books per month. They won’t be licensing Trek any time soon. I always found the old Marvel comics serviceable, but nothing special. Honestly, IDW has done some good stuff, though I agree the crossovers are tiresome to a degree. Would like to get back to a straight Trek format for the comics (same with TV, even if Discovery is fine by me, it’s not really great Trek).

It’s a shame how Trelane has been linked to the Q over the years. He’s nothing more than an energy cloud kid that can take human form playing with a holodeck.
