I get the context of this show, but the folks running it may need to give some thought to dialing back Mariners gross insubordination a bit. Even by Starfleet’s pretty lax standards, at some point there is a court martial in her future.

Phil, you’re talking like an old man! Just kidding… I think we’re the same age.

Mariner please calm down. Take a chill pill or Starfleet will court martial her. Yeah her hyperactive nature is getting the better of her.

She’s already been court martialed. She said “don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it.”

Ah, I should’ve scrolled down first. Thank you Thorny, yes sound like she has been already. I have a feeling Mariner is going to beat Harry Kim’s record as the longest ensign ;)

She’s already been demoted at least twice. And locked in the brig on multiple occasions.

I prefer when the writers err on the side of making Starfleet not militaristic enough rather than too militaristic, but yes.

I could be wrong, but hasn’t Mariner had a court martial before? I thought she mentioned it, but maybe was just joking.

The photos remind me of The Orville for some reason. Forgot that one Orville episode!

Galaxy Quest. The Villain reminds me General Roth’h’ar Sarris. =)

That’s some PTSD and authority issues Mariner’s dealing with.

So, when can we expect the episode with the relentlessly understanding Counselor? I suspect she’d do more to avoid those kinds of sessions than to avoid promotion.

More, I suspect some senior counselor recommended letting Mariner take time in less stressful role as an ensign to sort herself out, but there may be a time limit that Mariner isn’t willing to think about.

Perfect opportunity for Counselor Troi to assist Mariner.

Either someone screwed up, or the fact that the episode previews are no longer geoblocked outside North America means an international partner is very close

The official Star Trek website has had an international version for quite some time where they have often released videos without geoblocking that CBS All Access only put out for people in the US.
