The All Access Star Trek Podcast Gets Some Much-Needed Therapy With “Crisis Point” And #FrakesWeek

All Access Star Trek podcast episode 9

This week, Tony and Laurie celebrate #FrakesWeek by talking about some of the highlights of Tony’s interview with Jonathan Frakes. They also discuss the new COVID guidelines and how they might affect upcoming Star Trek TV productions. You can also hear an excerpt from the Frakes interview where he shared his views on Star Trek: Lower Decks.

The podcasters then dig deep into the psychology (and the jokes and Star Trek references!) in the 9th episode of Lower Decks, “Crisis Point.” And they wrap things up with their weekly Trek finds and mention the new Trek The Vote initiative.

Mariner is the queen.

Trek The Vote sounds important.

I’m a Trekkie who is planning to vote for Joe Biden.

Joe Biden will be a great president who will unite this country. Together we can beat this pandemic.

In other news, Trump tested positive for the coronavirus. That’s how bad we are doing. Even the president is infected, this all feels like a Hollywood movie.

Well, that’s what happens when you refuse to wear a freakin mask and don’t practice social distancing.

This is an absolutely unprecedented time. And regardless of who it is I am not going to blame ANYONE who contracts this virus

The guy actively ignored every piece of safety advice, and urged his supporters to do the same, endangering the entire country. I hope he’s okay, but he has nobody to blame but himself.

Yes, but I’m sure he’ll find a way to blame it on Biden somehow.

Was there an Orion officer on the bridge of NX-01 in the mirror universe?

I think the Orion was on the Avenger. Tendi is still the first Orion that we’ve seen in Starfleet in the prime timeline. I think she might also be the first Orion that we’ve seen in the 24th century. The Orion Syndicate showed up a few times on DS9, but we never actually saw any Orion members.

Interesting listen again.

Thanks for bringing in more of the audio from the Jonathan Frakes interview.

I’m not so convinced that there isn’t interest in some of the “inside baseball” bits that Anthony omitted from the articles.

Agreed. I would Looooove to
Listen to the inside baseball stuff from Frakes!!! Bring it on!
