See The Cerritos Crew Encounter A Classic In Preview Of ‘Star Trek: Lower Decks’ Comic Mini-Series Debut

Star Trek: Lower Decks is almost halfway through its third season on Paramount+ and this week it also jumps into another medium with the debut of IDW’s Star Trek: Lower Decks comic mini-series. The 3-issue series is written by Ryan North with art from Chris Fenoglio. And we have a 5-page preview of the debut issue.

Synopsis: 

The hit Paramount+ animated series makes its comics debut with Eisner-winning comics writer Ryan North (The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl) at the helm! Soon after leading her crew on a planetary expedition aimed at building bridges and advancing Federation technology, Captain Freeman begins to suspect that the planet and its people are not all what they seem… Meanwhile, the crew in the lower decks take to the holodeck, enjoying some much-needed recreational time—until a bloodthirsty visitor decides to join in on their games.

Series looks good. I have pre-ordered the graphic novel collection. :)

I could actually hear the characters saying the lines.

Boimler was a bit too calm though

The space hippies are perfect for Lower Decks.

Wow they are getting their first comics! This show is really coming into its own in the bigger Star Trek universe. Great to see!

Never understood why in the Eden episode of TOS, the blond hippy kept calling people ‘pervert’. Weird episode!

I think he actually says ‘Herbert’; but ‘pervert’ works too…
