‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Season 4 Coming To Blu-ray, DVD, And Steelbook In December

The fourth season of Star Trek: Discovery is coming home on disc on December 6 with over 90 minutes of special features.

The fourth season of Star Trek: Discovery newly promoted captain Michael Burnham leads the crew of the USS Discovery to face a totally new threat in the form of the spatial anomaly threatening the galaxy. Over the course of the 13 episode season the Federation and non-Federation worlds came together to face this threat in a season that saw a lot of character growth and strong performances from Sonequa Martin-Green as Burnham along with Doug Jones (Saru), Anthony Rapp (Paul Stamets), Mary Wiseman (Silvia Tilly), Wilson Cruz (Dr. Hugh Culber”), David Ajala (“Cleveland “Book” Booker”) and Blu del Barrio (“Adira”).

In addition to all 13 episodes, the limited edition Blu-ray Steelbook, Blu-ray, and DVD have the following special features:

  • STAR TREK DISCOVERY: THE VOYAGE OF SEASON 4 – A continuation of the series,
    this behind-the-scenes featurette includes writers and producers as they discuss how their
    visions were realized by the cast, sets, costumes and props in Season Four.
  • BEING MICHAEL BURNHAM: THE CAPTAIN’S LOG – From Sonequa Martin-Green, fans
    are taken through her personal journey as Captain Michael Burnham. Follow Martin-Green,
    as she sits in the Captain’s chair and shares intimate videos taken throughout the season,
    behind-the-scenes moments and interviews.
  • CREATING SPACE – Fans can explore the VFX department to see their use of an AR wall
    for the immersive on-screen experience created for The Holodeck, which utilizes the largest
    AR wall to date.
  • THE TOLL IT TOOK – From the writer’s room and prop building to costume fittings, the
    production stage and post, the cast and crew discuss the toll COVID took during the
    development of Season Four.

Can’t wait to add it to the rest of my Trek collection and i have the previous steelbooks and looking forward to adding S4 steelbook to them too. S4 was one of the best seasons of not only current Trek but of all Trek imo. Looking forward to S5.

Bootlegs of Star Trek series? On amazon? In the age of streaming? Reminds me of Video-CDs two decades ago when Enterprise was new and not yet available…

Video CDs? It’s been a long road, getting from there to here.
