Star Trek: Resurgence delayed

Another highly-anticipated game is Star Trek: Resurgence,  an interactive narrative adventure game for for PC, Playstation, and Xbox announced last December. The game was set to be released this year, but on Thursday the team at Dramatic Labs announced they moved the date to April 2023

Resurgence is the first title from the new game developer formed by a team of industry veterans, including twenty former Telltale developers that have worked on games such as The Walking Dead: The Telltale SeriesThe Wolf Among UsGame of Thrones: The Telltale Series, and Batman: The Telltale Series. On Twitter, Dramatic Labs explained the detail was to “give the game a final coat of polish,” and born from their “love and admiration for Star Trek” to ensure they get it right.

Set in the Star Trek: The Next Generation era, in Resurgence you assume the role of two principal characters (First Officer Jara Rydek and Engineering Crewperson Carter Diaz) on board the USS Resolute. The narrative-based game has players unravel a “sinister mystery involving two alien civilizations on the brink of war.” The game promises to immerse players into the Star Trek universe and it includes some familiar faces, including Ambassador Spock.

Earlier this year Dramatic Labs shared some gameplay footage with IGN, which you can see below.
