“Preludes”
Episode 16 of Prodigy is called “Preludes” and was written by the entire Prodigy writers’ room: Kevin & Dan Hageman, Julie Benson, Shawna Benson, Lisa Schultz Boyd, Nikhil S. Jayaram, Diandra Pendleton-Thompson, Chad Quandt, and Aaron J. Waltke. It was directed by Steve In Chang Ahn & Sung Shin. “Preludes” debuts on Paramount+ on Thursday, December 1.
Synopsis:
A Starfleet Admiral digs into the past of the Protostar crew. Meanwhile, the Diviner recalls his life’s mission.

New episodes of Prodigy debut on Thursdays exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., and on Fridays in Latin America, Australia, and the U.K. The series will air later in the year in South Korea, Germany, Italy, France, Austria and Switzerland.

Maybe it’s me, but it seems hard to get anything out of the episode description or the publicity stills that gives a sense of what’s to come. Feels intentional.
Which may mean that this is the big transition episode leading into the two part season finale.
My thoughts exactly. It’s just vague enough to feel like it indicates that there’s little they can show without spoiling the surprise.
