April is shaping up to be a big month for Star Trek home media with the announcement that the third season of the animated adult comedy Star Trek: Lower Decks will arrive on April 25th, with over 45 minutes of special features.

The crew of the USS Cerritos is coming home on April 25th with season three of Star Trek: Lower Decks arriving on DVD and Blu-ray. The 10-episode season wrapped up the season 2 cliffhanger with Captain Freeman put on trial, the return of Peanut Hamper, the “Crisis Point 2” sequel episode, and a special visit to station Deep Space Nine, featuring guest appearances by Star Trek: Deep Space Nine actors Nana Visitor and Armin Shimerman.
The new set includes exclusive audio commentaries from the cast and crew, a look behind the episodes, a Season 3 “Lower Decktionary”, and a closer look at the DS9 episode.

In addition to the DVD release, Lower Decks season 3 will also be available on Blu-ray MOD: Manufactured-On-Demand.
Fans will be able to order the Blu-ray online by the time of the release of the DVD and we will provide an update when that link is available.

Glad to hear about this. There were rumors that there wouldn’t be a Blu-ray release, which would really have been a shit-the-bed moment in my opinion.
