Today IDW releases three new Trek comics, including continuing their ongoing flagship Star Trek series with the fifth issue, continuing the adventures of Captain Benjamin Sisko after his return from the Bajoran Wormhole on a mission from the gods. The series is written by Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing, the leads behind IDW’s Star Trek: Year Five series, with art by Ramon Rosanas (Marvel’s Star Wars, Ant-Man).
The fifth issue starts off with Sisko and the crew of the USS Theseus battling Kahless in the “God City” of T’Kon. We have a 5-page preview of issue 5.

The artwork is quite hit and miss in these comics for me. Once again, they chose the worst design for the “A” cover, while the C variant looks stunning and reminds me of the beautiful painted artwork Pocket Books used to have before they went for cheap looking Photoshop dross.
