I so very hope the band is all back together by the end of episode 8 so we get 2 episodes with them all together

Looks like The Doctor turns up to save Will and Deanna (that set is a dead ringer for the later TARDIS sets in Doctor Who)

Look the round things!

I love the round things!!

What are the round things ?!

No idea…

God, I love this.

Yessss :D

Have you seen the new leaked Tardis console room?

Maybe? If you’re referring to the huge white one? Or is this something new again? The white one that I saw looked absolutely gigantic!

Yeah that’s it. It may not look so white after its lit for filming.

Ah that’s true, it’s quite the blank canvas in that respect. Pretty excited to see it on screen, come November. I just hope they make the most of all that space.

The new console room might not premiere until the 15th Doctor takes over.

That’s quite likely thinking about it, especially if 14 doesn’t spend much time in the Tardis. It could be a little while until we see it.

That’s my thinking as well.

As much as I was not a fan of the Jodie Whittaker one, it seems they’re changing the console room nearly as much as Starfleet change their uniforms these days :-)

Yeah. New Doctor new Console.

Oh good Liam is alive still.

Also finally! Deanna!

“Oh good Liam is alive still.”

Exactly my thought. They keep teasing his demise but he seems to get back up time and again, hopefully till he got his own show…

Hopefully this means that episode 8 will deliver the three things I was hoping for out of episode 7: explanation of what’s going on with Jack, resolution of the Data/Lore conflict, and rescuing the Riker-Troi family.

Interesting that there’s no sign of Worf and Raffi in these photos. I think their role is supposed to be a surprise (I’m pretty sure they’re boarding the Shrike to rescue Riker, not knowing Deanna is there as well).

The trailer that just got posted shows Worf and Raffi boarding what’s got to be the shrike and then it looks like Riker and Deanna fighting their way out at the end.

It definitely showed Worf on the Shrike, but the only shot of Raffi I saw was on the Titan. Presumably they’ll be kicking ass on both ships.

Yeah no shot of Raffia on the shrike from what I could see, but we know they’re together.

I’m confused about who that was yelling “don’t touch her/them” at the end when Riker and Deanna look like they’re about to run and he’s punching someone. Was that from that scene and just cut weird in the trailer or was it left over dialogue from the scene playing the trailer right before? I couldn’t make out whose voice that is.

That was Riker standing in front of Troi.

It’s nice that he’s protective but, is that really the best way to feature her in this preview?

Fair enough, but I figure they don’t want to be too spoilers. I’m just glad she’s here in person in the action now and that it looks like they’re working as a team to get off the ship before Worf presumably shows up to help.

Is it just me, or has Frakes gotten slimmer over the course of the season?

Yeah, in even more recent real-life pictures, he’s super slim. Hopefully he isn’t ill…

I think just like most of us..shedding them CoVid pounds.

That’s funny, when I was off from work while everything shut down for 2mths at the start of Covid, I was walking every day for long stretches (which trying to reach unemployment on the phone) and got my weight to the best it had been in decades, but since getting called back to work (fairly active job), have just been gaining and gaining, now 35lbs more than I was when I got recalled. I’m actually pretty troubled by it, this is the most I’ve weighed in well over a decade.

It seems like it is a mixed bag for most people. I was doing Keto in 2019 and really doing great, but then suddenly that became harder and combined with gyms shutting down, etc I packed some chonk back on

Cest la vie

It’s not magic my friend. Just burn more calories in a day than you eat. Calorie deficit. And don’t expect it to be easy and to take 2 weeks.

Obviously Riker remembered they still wanted to celebrate the wedding party on Betazed and followed Picards advice….😉

Judging by these photos, I definitely think that’s the real Deanna, not that there was any real doubt.

Hopefully this will be the end of all the “beloved character who was brought back just for the reunion is secretly an evil shapeshifter who wants to murder all of them” theories for good.

The “Deanna is a changeling and the real one is somewhere else!” theory has been especially dumb considering both how late it is in the season and that Vadic specifically said at the beginning of that episode to find her someone not on the Titan that they could take to lure out Picard and co. Never mind the fact that Riker would be able to tell in less than a minute if that was the real Deanna so why even try to trick him.

Well, Tuvok was.

Tuvok was a cameo, though. And based on what Tim Russ said on Twitter, we might still get to see the real Tuvok before this is over. We need to know that he’s all right.

Yeah and why wouldn’t it be? And now that they have both Titan and Jack, I don’t know what Riker could even tell them at this point.

I love the spoiler photos because I love speculating, even when my own speculation turns out to be completely wrong. Episode 7 was several minutes shorter than the previous six. Hopefully that is not a trend for the final three episodes. I do think “Bounty” could have benefitted from a Riker-Troi scene on the Shrike while Vadic and her forces boarded the Titan.

That being said, I’m happy we’re getting more Marina Sirtis. Hopefully we get to see Will and Deanna finally have it out while in captivity. My guess is that Worf and Raffi will board the Shrike and save Riker (and Troi) and then coordinate (in that super TNG way they do) with Picard and Beverly on the Titan to save the day.

Prediction – The Titan will be liberated, but Jack will surrender himself. We the audience won’t actually learn Jack Crusher’s true nature until the last two episodes, but I’m guessing Vadic will leave Beverly and Jean-Luc evidence of who Jack really is before she leaves the ship. A closing shot could likely be of the two of them reading what Vadic leaves behind. Also, because of the romantic angle clearly set up for Jack and Sidney, I wouldn’t be surprised if the young ensign ends up going with Jack willingly or is taken hostage to ensure Jack’s cooperation.

I actually think they might fail to regain the Titan, which will force them to return to the museum in La Sirena to open up Hangar Bay 12.

Oooh that would be cool! I forgot about that reference. Good catch!

Yes, that’s my guess too. The Titan is probably not going to survive this season, being taken out by the combined museum fleet. That would open up a potential follow-on series with the survivors of this crew getting the new Enterprise.

I suspect the episode will end with the Jack revelation, leaving it on an “omg” cliffhanger for the final (two-part) episode.

Sidney seems very sceptical/unimpressed by Jack in the production still.

Who knows? I don’t think the relationship will go from attraction/potential to sacrifice this season.

By contrast, Deanna and Will have had a deep empathic bond since before Encounter at Farpoint and it still took them a decade to get back together and figure it out. I’m interested to see if we are finally shown as opposed to told some of the depth of that bond.

I would love if they used it to silently come up with an escape plan.

Me too.

I want to see ‘Face of the Enemy’ Troi, reading the enemy and outplaying them.

Once again posting details from others who have seen (or claim to have seen) upcoming episodes is not allowed and will be deleted.

Was the Screening not only Episode 1 to 6? So even for them it should be new New Waters

Reviewers got 7 and 8 i think two weeks ago.

Yeah there was someone who did something like..”wait..what? huh?WHAT? WAIT WHAT?” about Episode 8.

We’ll see

My earnest hope is that they don’t kill off DataLore again. Hopefully we see the two personalities merge into a balanced new being..

I don’t want Data to become the Star Trek Kenny.

I would be very surprised if Data was killed again. Terry Matalas seems determined to undo the deaths he disliked in previous outings, which is why he included Kirk’s body at Daystrom Station. I’ll bet he’d even find a way to bring Jadzia back if he could.

At this point, if someone dies, I feel like it’ll be Worf or Picard (again). Matalas said Troi survives. Killing Riker doesn’t vibe with the story they’ve been doing with him this season. I don’t think they’d bring Geordi back so late into the season just to kill him. I think he actually wants to undue Data’s death so I feel he’s safe. I guess they could kill Beverly but I don’t see it. Seven is going to make it. So that leaves Worf or Picard. I guess he could have just been talking about Lore “dying” so Data can fully come back. Or maybe it was just Ro lol.

He never said somebody was for sure going to die. He just said characters might not make it out safely. That could mean anything.

I think it will be Beverly, as her death will mean more to the relationship of Jack to JLP. It could be Beverly and JLP to save Jack.

I could be Geordi for Data, or could be Riker for Deanna.

I just tend to think it will be Beverly as what she has done makes her unredeemable and a sacrifice for the rest is about the only way to redeem her.

What I really don’t want to see is Shaw sacrificing for Seven and/or JLP. I really want to see more of Shaw, with Seven at his side.

I also really want Jack and Sidney progress from here, especially Sidney – really like Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut.

Too late. Maybe the third time will be the charm for Kenny….errr, Data.

That would feel so lame to find a way to bring back Data just to kill him off again. It’s literally why I think I don’t think Picard is dying because it would feel just as lame at this point after they already did it in season one. People seem to have a hard time believing the character died but he did. And this season made that pretty clear lol.

No I think Data is here to stay and I was one of the people who kept saying I had no issues if he stayed dead. But now that he’s back, it would only make sense to keep him.

This season seems to be winding down the way the previous two did, basically cramming ten pounds of s**t into a five-pound bag. Fear not, fans, the villains will be foiled, the fleet will be saved, and our heroes will be vindicated, to boldly go where they have boldly gone before. Again.

Well when you only get 10 episodes to tell a story that could full more episodes.

If you’d like some entertainment wherein the protagonists die horrible deaths after facing shame and failure, you might try some art films or a serious novel, instead of relatively expensive serial streaming adventures. (Jeepus, how does anyone read the comments section of this website… )

Yeah, not sure what his complaint here is, that the heroes are the good guys, defeat the bad guys, and have more adventures? I mean, that’s Star Trek, as well as just about any franchise.

An ongoing complaint (by the more vocal detractors) has been that virtually all Trek since 2009 has been derivative. Through E5, I’ve been able to compartmentalize this as fairly well produced fan service, I didn’t really need to get to wound up that there really wasn’t much of a story here, or that any real risks would be taken. The streaming venue is a good opportunity to actually tell some of those interesting sci-fi stories……but, oh, wait, it needs to be TNG season 9, and on an Enterprise. Now hold my beer, I need to pop over to the Academy YA thread and s**t talk about how that show can’t possibly be Trek because my delicate white male sensibilities are going to be offended….

The back and forth on this may be what it’s like hanging out in Data’s head these days….

That’s totally fair. If your complaint is that S3 is derivative — no argument there. But the elements you mention are not what i’d call derivative, they’re just elements common to all hero stories.

“how does anyone read the comments section of this website… ”

I can feel my sanity slipping sometimes, I can tell you that much.

I suspect another bottle episode so that they can save money for the final two. This season is so good but just imagine if they had The Mandalorian’s budget… Also, can’t wait to see Troy. It felt like her Betazoid powers had increased in season 1. If they can free her the team sure could use her help. Hopefully she’s not a Changeling, though copying a empath or telepath would probably not be easy.

We could say that about every Trek project though “what if it had a Star Wars budget.” Trek has rarely ever competitive when it came to big budget SFX, and often that’s been one of its charms, too.

This may have been suggested somewhere else already, but my theory is that Vadic and her band of changelings encountered the Borg who tried to assimilate them. But the changeling physiology made that difficult but some residual Borg tech is a part of them and that’s why Vadic can communicate with (I’m assuming) the Borg queen using her hand. I think there’ll be a reveal that the other changelings look Borg-ish under their outfits and that’s why they make that strange, almost mechanical, noise when the move. At least that’s how they sound to me through my airpods. The reason they Borg need Jack is because when Picard entered his new body he left the Borg tech behind in his old one and so they need pieces from Jack to give them a whole Locutus again. I also think we’re going to see each member of the cast commanding a vintage ship in the last episode and I wouldn’t be surprised if a restored Big D is what’s in that hangar that was referenced earlier. I wonder if any filming might have been done at the original sets in New York, too? Just speculation on my part, but I wouldn’t mind seeing everything play out that way…

No please no. I am so so so so tired of the Borg. People think the augments are overdone? Not as much as the damn Borg. At least the augments are interesting and doing different things with them actually works, unlike the Borg!

Also one of the reasons I like the Dominion is because they weren’t even anything related to the damn Borg. It should stay that way. The Borg are overdone and frankly overrated and at this point they aren’t even scary anymore, just annoying.

I will say many people probably agree with you about the Borg but the irony is we still haven’t seen the real Borg show up on this show yet. But I know, they were still the Borg regardless.

I have no issues if this season stay full focused on the Changelings. It is great to see them again and I wish we could see a little more of them beyond the stuff dealing with the Titan, but this is a really contained season.

I’m just a man who knows what he wants. And what he wants are the Vorta.

Again, the Borg are NOT involved in this story line.

How do you know that?

I believe Matalas has come out and said as much. He’s been very open about what’s definitely NOT in the season. He debunked the Tom Riker theories, the parasite aliens. but you know what, he never did say the villain wasn’t Armus…

I don’t think he ever did say there are no Borg at all in this season. He said the “new” Borg guarding the anomaly or whatever won’t play a part, and said the “real” Borg are probably still recovering from what Janeway did to them. That does leave the door open for other possibilities.

I did not see him claim it myself, but I have heard other people say he did debunk it at some point. So far I see no indication of the Borg, but still time left.

Why didn’t the bridge officers lock out main systems before Vadic got to the bridge?

I was thinking the same thing as Shaw called out into them to blow the turbo lift.

It seems Lore has intervened.

On the other hand, it’s still possible that many functions are Iocked out and Vadic and Lore don’t realize it yet.

Ah! I didn’t know if Lore was still in the system or if Data’s intervention was temporary. That was confusing, but makes sense.

What if this all is a simulation and they are still trapped in the holodeck? They worked out a plan to set up a trap (this part wasn’t shown – maybe by purpose?), therefore they should have gone further and have a backup plan in case Vadic takes over the bridge. Shouldn’t they have calculated that scenario?

Well its great to see the rest of the crew back in this episode! ;)

Frankly I thought episode 7 was easily the weakest of the season so far but I’m still loving this season. I think we’re in for an amazing final three episodes!

Serial dramas often have episodes that are more meant to convey information for the next episodes, and are less about being a standalone experience. But ep 7 was better than most of these thanks to the bravura performance of Amanda Plummer. I know some think she is overly quirky but on repeated viewings of this epochal season, her brilliance will come more into focus.

I’m still waiting for that scene from the trailer where the whole crew is around the conference table. More than easter eggs or fan service-y cameos, recapturing those moments are what this “reunion” needs.

I looked at that scene again in the trailer, and it clearly takes place in the Titan‘s conference room. That seems to debunk my theory that they have to abandon the Titan to Vadic. That’s good.

Yes same! I’m assuming it will come in episode 9 or even 10. I have a feeling Troi and Riker will end up on the Titan by the end of episode 8.

I think there’s a pretty good chance that scene is in this episode, towards the very end. Just a hunch.

And I hope you’re right! We’ll see.

Maybe Soji returns to save the day and straighten out “dads” schizo behavior and give uncle Lore a kick in the but. She could also chat with her sister. What tge hell, have Wesley show up as well to straighten out Jacks problems:)

On the one hand it is really genuinely a realistic action… but on the other… Riker shoving the guy and shouting “Don’t touch her” had this… very old man feel to the shove/push which I wasn’t expecting to be taken aback by despite knowing Riker is an old man now.
