This week IDW releases the ninth issue of their ongoing flagship Star Trek series, delivering the third part of “The Red Path” storyline leading up to the big “Day of Blood” crossover event which kicks off next month. The series is written by Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing, the leads behind IDW’s Star Trek: Year Five series, with art by Mike Feehan (Marvel’s Star Wars, Ant-Man). Volume 1 collection arrives in July
IDW’s first collection from the Star Trek series will be released on July 18. Volume 1 (titled ‘Godshock”) collects the first six issues from the series. You can pre-order Volume 1 in hardcover from Amazon for $24.99.

First page of the preview: “I have followed your mission. Hunted Kahless. Saught his weapon.” Ow, whether hand-lettered or typed, that’s a painful typo: s/saught/sought/. (As a separate matter, “sought” being the past tense of “to seek” is just English being weird.)
