This week IDW wraps up mini-series about young Jean-Luc Picard and his time at Starfleet Academy. Picard’s Academy is written by New York Times best-selling author Sam Maggs (Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars and Marvel Action: Captain Marvel) with art by Ornella Greco and colors by Charlie Kirchoff. TrekMovie’s review of the first issue concluded the new series “offers a fresh blend of familiar and new characters with a compelling storyline and dynamic artwork.” And now we have a preview of the fifth issue out this week.

Synopsis:
It’s do-or-die for Picard and cadets in the finale of Picard’s Academy!Romulans storm the ship while Starfleet remains out of reach and potentially unaware of the threat headed their way, but the cadets have finally come to an agreement, electing Jean-Luc to the captain’s chair. They’re finally willing to follow Picard’s lead, and Picard is finally willing to acknowledge their feedback-now acting as a proper crew. But is it too late?
