Star Trek Attraction And Hotel Rooms Coming To Turkish Theme Park In 2025 [UPDATED]

Star Trek doesn’t have much of a presence at theme parks around the world, but that is going to change in January with a Star Trek: Prodigy-themed attraction coming to Land of Legends in Antalya, Turkey. You will also be able to stay in a luxurious Star Trek-themed suite during your visit to the park.

Board the USS Aurora for “Star Trek: Wild Galaxy”

The Land of Legends is the largest amusement and water park in Turkey, located in Antalya on the “Turkish Riviera” on the Mediterranean Sea coast. Opened in 2016, the park will have a new “Nickelodeon Land” opening on January 15th that will include three unique areas: “Bikini Bottom” from SpongeBob SquarePants, “Adventure Bay PAW Patrol,” and “Star Trek: Wild Galaxy”, a 5D cinema attraction themed around Star Trek: Prodigy. Land of Legends has released details and some artist renderings of what fans can expect from Nickelodeon Land.

The centerpiece of the Star Trek area of Nickelodeon Land will be the “Star Trek: Wild Galaxy” 5D attraction, which includes Star Trek: Prodigy-themed adventure set on the “USS Aurora.” Inside the theater, the screen “will act as the open back door of the space shuttle and guests will be taken on a 15-minute journey through space.” Here is how Land of Parks describes the Wild Galaxy Theatre experience:

The back door of the space shuttle is open! Take your seats and fasten your seat belts. When you’re all set for take-off, the lights will switch off and you’ll embark on an epic space journey. Listen carefully to Dal and Gwyn’s conversation, because you don’t want to miss any of the planets.

Before you enter the theater, you are brought into the “Airlock.” Here is how they describe that experience:

You’re part of the starship crew! Disinfect yourself before entering the room and then take your time to examine the spacesuits, weapons and vehicles. On the screens inside the room, you’ll meet Dal and his friends from the USS Protostar. The most extraordinary space experience awaits you in Airlock!

Before you embark on your adventure, you will be guided through Trek-themed rooms. If you look closely at the images below you can see various elements from Star Trek: Prodigy. Here is how they are described.

Lobby:

This lobby is out of this world! You will be surprised to see a rare and exotic plant in a container in the center of this area. On the huge screens, you will be able to meet interesting galactic creatures under treatment. Be prepared to immerse yourself into this galaxy that will draw you in to the depths of mystery.

Exhibition Room:

Feel like you’re in a sci-fi movie in the Exhibit Room! On the Aurora logo screens, you will meet exotic creatures from different galaxies, learn much more about them and become part of the Star Trek universe. The next epic stage of your journey with Starfleet awaits you here.

Biodome Room:

Science has no boundaries in this room! You’re about to witness up close the extraordinary treatments in the Biodome, a museum of the Star Trek universe… Our galactic creatures here are a little sick. The good news is that they’re on the mend, and in the meantime, they’re inviting you to learn some amazing facts about them.

UPDATE: Hagemans weigh in

After TrekMovie’s report was published Star Trek: Prodigy co-creators Dan and Kevin Hageman took to Twitter/X to share the link and comment about how they had “an amazing time” helping develop this “awesome attraction,” noting “A lot of love and joy was put into it, along with a little Murf.”

The new Nickelodeon Land also includes the brand new Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Antalya, featuring 211 themed rooms for SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, PAW Patrol, and Star Trek.

Greeaatt.

I have no words.

How about “it looks fun”?

What are you going for with this comment? Does this theme park upset you?

This was probably planned before the show was canceled (or is it actually still running on Nickelodeon?) Still nice to see. Looks like fun for the family.

Opening in January, this thing must be 99% done.
But in Turkey??

We in the US had our chance. In Las Vegas. I always wished I’d made it there…

Probably much cheaper to build something like this in Turkey than in the US.

Dig some of the TNG vibes I’m seeing. Making a Marriott look like Star Trek is easier when the Star Trek already looks like a Marriott.

Wow cool! Go Prodigy!!

It’s nice to see any Star Trek to get this kind of attention, especially any of the newer shows.

I think the last time a theme park ride opened was the TNG roller coaster ride in Germany in 2019 IIRC.

It will be sometime before I can make a trip to Turkey lol. But I hope TM make an article about the opening day.

I hope Eric Adams is a Star Trek fan.

????

Eric Adams, the current mayor of New York City, was indicted this week on various corruption-related charges. Some of the charges alleged that he accepted free upgrades on Turkish Airlines and free hotel rooms in Turkey.

OK thank you for explaining that. I just heard he was indicted but didn’t know any specific details beyond that. Just haven’t been on my radar.

That’s a stretch…..

Cool, finally some Trek related stuff here in Türkiye. I have an Aunt living in Antalya, this will be a good excuse to go there. I don’t think its open yet though.

Dude PLEASE go and give us a trip report if you do. So we can all live vicariously through you!

Honestly, I didn’t even know there was a theme park there and I could only go if my meager teaching salary could afford it.

Wow interesting. So not a very popular place Of coures only if you can afford to go.

There will definitely be a lot of videos of this place when it does open.

Well, it’s supposed to open in January, so it should be pretty closed to finished….

Antalya, Turkey. Mostly Russian, Ukrainian and Eastern European tourists who most likely think “Star Trek” is the same as “Star Wars” (I’ve lived in the region a few decades, and apart from those Russians who know of Anton Yelchin, this is the case). On the other hand, SpongeBob is popular, for sure. I expect demand will come from far-flung Trekkers with deep pockets who want to try it while it lasts.

Honestly, as the resident Turkish person on this site, I don’t know how this will work out. The popularity here of Star Trek among the native Turkish is not too much, especially among the younger age groups. The older people are mostly familiar with TOS and TNG and not much else. SpongeBob has been much more popular, but I am not too sure if they can get as big of an income with their Trek related stuff. And the prices would probably be extreme as well since we are in the midst of a big economic inflation here and the price of everything is rising by the minute.

I hope it works out. It does boggle my mind that Paramount hasn’t found any good theme park outlet in the US post-Star Trek: The Experience. Surely licensing it to Universal Studios is an option if they don’t want to shoulder too many costs.

Needs augmented reality mirror so when you look at your reflection a Borg face implant pops out your skin.

They really need to find someone in the US to do an attraction with. There is so much potential.

The sad thing is this is in Belek, where they basically ruined the beautiful coast with giant awful themed hotels, including one that looks like the Kremlin and one that looks like Concord, there are others but those stuck out as especially dreadful. Land of legends is like if you bought Walt Disney World from Wish!

This looks really neat!
