Preview ‘Star Trek: Lower Decks’ Episode 505 With New Images From “Starbase 80?!”

This week the fifth (and sadly final) season of Star Trek: Lower Decks hits the half-way mark. We have some fun new images and more details to get you started.

“Starbase 80?!”

The fifth episode of season 5 is titled “Starbase 80?!,” signaling a return to the notorious Starbase 80, the worst posting in Starfleet, where Mariner was briefly exiled in season 3. And the visit looks like there are some Star Trek: Enterprise nods coming. The episode was written by May Darmon and directed by Bob Suarez. It arrives on Paramount+ on Thursday, November 14.

Synopsis:

Ransom uses too much disinfectant gel while Mariner gets paranoid about curses.

Starbase 80 appears to be so decrepit it’s still using TOS vintage 23rd century wall communicators!

I still cannot believe that this is it for LDS. Have any viewing numbers come out for this season? I want to think that the three Paramount+ executives who haven’t been sacked yet are seeing big numbers and regretting their decision, but I’m guessing that’s not the case or we would’ve heard about it by now. So, I will try to be grateful for this final season and hope that it ends with a bang.
